N2 Plus doing initial filament dump too high after running Cura and Simplify3D gCode

I'm trying to sell my N2 Plus, and a friend asked me to print some samples for him. The first print, using IdeaMaker, went fine, but none of the Cura or Simplify3D gCode files work. The first layer is extruded too high to adhere, and it becomes a nightmare pretty quickly.

But after trying those files, now even the original IdeaMaker gCode file has a defect. The initial filament dump occurs in the correct location in X and Y, but not in Z: it is perhaps 3/4 of an inch too high. It is as if the Cura or Simplify3D gCode reset some EPROM value. If I knew which value had been reset, and what the correct value was, I could recover.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Would you like to share the gcode files of S3D, Cura and ideaMaker so that we have compare the difference?

Would you like to advise the purpose to set StepE to be 140? Are you using the original extruder or bondtech or something else?
And what does the code G92 E0 E1 do? If you want to zero extruder, you can use code G92 E0.
