Option to Disable Esteps (M92) in Gcode

Postby evolwun » Mon Jul 13, 2020 11:19 pm

Would it be possible to add an option to disable the need to enter the eteps for in a printer profile? I do not need the slicer to insert an M92 EXXX line in my gcode as esteps are set in firmware. It is nice to have the option, if needed. But I don't need it, nor would anyone who has tuned there esteps via firmware.

The default Estep value in printer settings should be 0. Unless you modify it to be other value, otherwise 0 Estep value won't add M92 code or affect print result.

Thank you! This would be great to add as a tooltip when hovering over that option.

after setting it to "0" I get the following line in gcode:
"G92 E0.0"
Does Marlin interpret that as "use default"?

Would you like to share your .idea, .gcode and .data files with us so that we can test your settings on your file?
