Re: Something missing after slicing!
I would be inclined to agree with zemlin on this one. We have printed the Eiffel tower before and it was full bed volume (larger than your current setup) and the posts were quite small even then.

Re: Correct print settings for colorFabb nGen
Hi Allan Sche Sar,
You may want to try a different orientation on the model, the print is more prone to breakage when standing up like it is. The part broke on the seam line, so increasing temp may help as well.

Re: Printer Filament Monitor
An update to what Vicky previously mentioned, we are preparing for our Pre-order phase of the Filament detection system. We should have some more solid info for you guys by the end of this year. We want to be able to provide the correct info all at once rather then piece it out over time now.

Re: ABS Printing
For starters, make sure you have the top cover on, all doors shut and fan covers on the print head. Set the bed height to be around 200µ when printing on Buildtak and a little closer when on Glass. Bed temp can be either 100-110 and nozzle a minimum of 240c. After this you will need to adjust as nee...

When running the "Extrude" command, can you pull up on the filament gently and get it to bypass the feed motion?

@jacobcatchen,
you need to change the profile in ideaMaker to ABS when you go to slice the model.

Re: Must do upgrades to N2
Hi dawyer47, To be honest, even on my machine I have not really modded it like my old printers. For the most part I have a few extra glass plates with different surfaces on them for other material types. If you are going to install Bondtech we suggest you watch their video very carefully and ask the...

Glue on Buildtak is a dirty method to get stick down but it is proven to work when applied!

Fan Covers on and top cover on and bring the bed temp up to 100c at least. Close all doors as well to keep the excess heat in the chamber. The method of printing ABS and PLA are almost opposite to each other.

Hi Shane,
Thank you for your review of the printer, we are enthused to hear that you are so happy with the printer. We look forward to seeing what parts you are able to produce in January if you can post them.

Re: Warping Issues
Hi jacobcatchen, My recommendation is to set your bed plate to 60c and adjust your nozzle height with the .2mm shim included in the accessories kit. Remember to have the top cover off while printing with PLA otherwise the chamber will heat up too much and cause the filament to grind out on longer pr...

Re: Feature Request adjust print speed per defined layer(s)
Hi Casale8, I believe we already have this function in the new beta version of ideaMaker, when you go to select template you will find a few more tabs. In these tabs you will find a "Group and Layer Settings" then "Per Layer Settings". From here you should be able to set a Z-Heig...

Re: IdeaMaker: contents of the data file?
Hi Stewart,
I do not believe in our current setup we can have the touch screen display embedded pictures in the G-Code, this is why we use the .data file that gets exported from iM. To my knowledge, we have not had anyone embed an image into the G-code and get it to run on the touchscreen.

Re: Trouble with overhang printing
Hi DS2017,
Normally ideaMaker should run the overhangs just fine, my question would be what material are you using and what is the temp of the nozzle when printing?
