Re: Loads of New Exciting Updates available for download

I'll get "excited" if they ever update 3-year-old Marlin for the N-series.
I'm not holding my breath.

Re: Buildatk flex plate

Also, never lift the flex plate - slide it out of the printer without lifting, or wait until it has cooled back to room temperature. If you lift the plate while it is still hot, you will pull up on the magnets and put permanent bulges in the plastic, ruining the whole thing. Don't ask me how I know ...

Im printed a set also - the resulting improvement is subtle, but probable.

Re: Instructions for N-series camera confusing or wrong

After installing mine, I'd say disconnect the cable from the camera so you can feed the cable down from the cable chain mount, and reconnect the cable to the camera once you have it run to the filament-spool area.

Re: Bed Height Adjustment Screw Slop

The sloppy height adjustment screw is easily fixed by adding a stop-nut on the screw beneath the bracket, to fix it in place when set.

Re: What is the current motion controller board firmware for Raise3D N2 series ?

1.1.6 is, of course, an obsolete elderly version of Marlin, and is long overdue for an update.

Re: PEI Build Plate - Rigid Underlayer Needed on N1?

My .5mm PEI for N2 was certainly warped, but flattened out reasonably well when adhered to the glass buildplate.

Re: Now do I clean out all traces of previous material so can keep different material nozzels nozzels clean please?

A) Do not use the material change sequence on the front panel. Leave the old filament in the nozzle when you remove it, and clear it out when you next use it, as in B). B) Instead, simply clip the current filament 1/2" above the extruder, heat the hot-end up to printing temp, and use the Utilit...

Re: Camera Installation

It would be a lot easier to feed the cable down the cable-chain hole from the outside first, then connect the camera once the cable is inside the printer in the spools area.

Re: Adjusting Z height while printing

There is no hardware restricting this: all that needs to be done is for the interface to insert a gcode command to raise or drop the bed by a fraction of a mm, perhaps .02mm or so.

Z-offset adjustment on the fly would be excellent and save a lot of time and restarts.

Re: Instructions for N-series camera confusing or wrong

On mine, no double-sided tape, the wire was already installed, and the protective lens covering was on the outside of the camera, not the inside.

The guy who writes the instructions needs to talk to the guys who make the cameras.

Re: Sequential printing IM beta

Current versions of Cura support sequential printing - it works fine, I use it all the time.
You just need to specify an N2 single-extruder printer and use that printer definition - sequential is only blocked for multi-extruder printers.

At worst, you can cut the plug and wire from the bad fan, and solder them to the wires for the new fan.

The camera would be easier to attach if it actually came with double-sided tape. None was included with my camera package.
