Re: [Production] How to store settings for production

Hello together, I want to make sure that I print the parts in 2 years the same way I print them today. So therefore I need to save the printing settings for every specific part. I thought that its enough to save the .idea File to achieve this. A short test showed me that the Templates are shared an...

Re: API?

No, I'm not able to load the API page or otherwise contact the port. I haven't done a full round of network diagnostics or checked my firewall, but I'm not blocking much of anything on my internal LAN, so I don't think that's it. I'm out for the next week, but I'll check those things when I get bac...

Re: Now do I NOT chip crack and split the glass plate

Now do I NOT chip crack and split the glass plate, Saw a crack bit on bottom that went half way then went all the way splitting it in two, it seemed to originate from one of the clamps, Original. Costly replacement how do I not crack the next one in 2 please What are you holding it down with ? I've...

Is this available for the N2 series or just the Pro ? I have an N2 Plus and that port isn't active on my machine. I have TouchPanel firmware version 1.1.0.1021. Would you like to advise more details bout ports not active? Are you not able to open the web page for API? The version 1.1.0.1021 should ...

Hardened nozzles appear to be getting etched anyway...

I just printed my round of parts with NylonX(carbon-fiber-laced nylon) and found that even with the Raise3D hardened nozzle, there was some wear/channeling of the nozzle after printing around 200g of NylonX. I finished printing with NylonX and was going to go back to PLA for some other print jobs. S...

Re: API?

Hi there! If you already got a printer, you can browse the API documentation by visiting http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:10800 (printers IP address) to see how to use the API. If you'd like to take a look of the document, please let me know. I can PM you a copy of that. Is this available for the N2 series o...

Re: Bondtech Dual Upgrade problem

Looks like your Z-height might be a bit off. Try adjusting it to be a bit higher. It's scraping because there isn't enough clearance between the layer that was just layed down and the gap between that and the nozzle. The tolerances here are fine enough that just changing out the old extruder for the...

Re: Hatchbox PLA

Pretty much what everybody else here has been saying: 200C nozzle temp, straight down the middle of the recommended range, with 70C bed temp. I've settled on 70 vs. 65 because I've had peeling with random colors and batches at 65. Hatchbox has been my go-to for PLA for a while now. It's pretty cheap...

Re: NylonX printer settings

How many shells are you using for that print ?
What infill density ?
Are you doing any sort of post-processing or just using it straight off the printer ?

So, do a skirt AND a brim ? ----I hadn't thought of that. That will only take care of one extruder though, right ?

That would be good too. Type A machines' slicer did this as well. Mostly, I just want to make sure that nothing is being dragged into the print area.

Deactivate purge line at start

How do I get my printer to not run a purge string at the start of a print ? The filament I'm using has a tendancy to not get knocked off the nozzle as it moves over to the printbed to start printing so this line of filament gets dragged onto the print area and causes a bunch of problems, esp. when I...

Re: Shared Template Location

I'm coming around to where I need this myself too. I've had a Mac until very recently and moved over to a dual-boot Windows/Linux Lenovo and had to move my Ideamaker config from the Mac over to Windows 10. It took some digging, but I managed to figure it out. I still do most of my work on the Mac(mi...

Replacement exterior light fixture for a boat

This is a replacement fixture for a light on the exterior walkway of a boat. The previously one broke after a number of years of exposure to sunlight and weather. A family member asked me if I could print out a new one vs. going out and buying a replacement(which means you automatically add an extra...

[quote="Shelton"]PETG everything else printing perfect but not first layer... any ideas? Your Z-height is too low. You can tell because the pattern on the bottom is squished vs. even. Here's a IC-puller I printed in MadeSolid PETG. Notice how on the bottom layer, the lines flow evenly back...

Oh, flowrate ?
Crank that sucker down. I'm using 92-94% under the Infill.

Re: How to I stop PETG G stringing and jamming my Raise 3d N2 Dual with Dual Bondtech?

I downloaded your model and loaded it into Ideamaker and have some thoughts. First, I'd flip it 180 degrees so that you have the larger, non-spiky bits facing down and in contact with the buildplate. Ideamaker estimates it'll take 11 hours that way vs. 10 in your current orientation. That's not a hu...
