Re: FusionTech F100L Question about Nozzle Compatibility

#1 The thermistor is a cartridge stule thermistor, and are you 100% sure you KNOW beyond a shadow of doubt it is a thermistor? Did you measure it with a meter? Both thermistor and thermocouples are isolated by a potting compound when put into those cartridge style units. So- drill the hole the diame...

Re: FusionTech F100L Question about Nozzle Compatibility

When I first started this hobby circa 2009, we did really dumb things like only tape a thermistor using kapton tape. If the thermistor came loose mid operation, then it cools, telling the heater to turn on full blast. Never just use tape alone. Again, the flipside is, we need a strong mounting that ...

Re: FusionTech F100L Question about Nozzle Compatibility

The rules are simple, all you have to do is ensure that the temp sensor is firmly attached to the heater block with no possible way of coming loose in operation OR being cooled or affected by fan airflow. What you do not want to happen is for the temp sensor to break free or be loose from the heater...

Most of the STLs end up here https://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8&p=15&hilit=shared+stl#p15 That said, I'm not seeing it, just trying to point you at known resources of this group Here is a previous topic as they had problems with early ones breaking https://forum.raise3d.com/...

Re: E2 power save behavior modification

Not possible on N series because there is no controlled output the LED is plugged into. Might be possible on Pro2 series because there was a bad firmware one time that accidentally turned off the LEDs if I remember right. N series- open source, we know what it can and cannot do. If it could be done,...

Re: Running Slic3r gCode on Pro2

I honestly do not 100% know the answer to this question: How do I get Slic3r gCode for my Pro2 to print only using the Left (default) Extruder?

Re: Running Slic3r gCode on Pro2

What you should be reading for gcode interpretation.
https://marlinfw.org/meta/gcode/

This is because the N series uses Marlin and since the Pro2 is derived from the N series, and uses the same slicer, yes, without a doubt, this is the the place you should have been using.

Re: Running Slic3r gCode on Pro2

So when you say your right extruder is disabled. How? Like no hotend, or just doesn't work, or whatever? Kinda matters..... A pro2 still has functions in firmware where the machine wants and needs to do certain things, so unlike the N series, you cannot just willy nilly remove broken parts and then ...

Re: Running Slic3r gCode on Pro2

Well, I'll have to dig into your gcode and basically fix your starting gcode. This is the start of your Slic3r produced gcode, and I can see why you not reading this first, sat and wondered while the bed was heating and waiting to reach temperature BEFORE anything else happened. M107 ; disable fan M...

Re: Non-circular holes and underextrusion

In a nutshell, why I'm saying it's a volume problem. As simple as I know how to describe it. Filament represents a cylinder of infinite length to the printer. It has a diameter and we tell the printer commands in gcode which is distances in mm. In other words, a single line of gcode is move the nozz...

Re: Non-circular holes and underextrusion

No, it's not belts. No, unlikely a nozzle. Yes, probably an extruder or user failing to properly calibrate extrusion volume. You say this: I'm using a fresh reimport of the eSUN PLA+ open filament program settings with the same material. 0.4 nozzle installed and confirmed in settings I read that as ...

Again, for sure that small connector is JST-XH series. 3 pin matching socket https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/jst-sales-america-inc/XHP-3/455-2219-ND/1651017 30.05.2020_21.20.21_REC.png BTW, I just buy a bulk kit for the JST-XH connectors since the stepper motors, endstops, and a lot of oth...

Re: Molex connector? Need to replace heat bed connectors.

BTW, I just buy a bulk kit for the JST-XH connectors since the stepper motors, endstops, and a lot of other common 3D printing parts use them (also, fans and LED sockets). https://www.amazon.com/Hilitchi-Housing-Connector-Adapter-Perfectly-Compatible/dp/B015Y6JOUG Or buy pre crimped wire sets: 3 pin...

Re: Molex connector? Need to replace heat bed connectors.

So here is where the confusion came in. #1 you should have been able to remove the connectors from the sockets. it was just silicone glue. #2 Given I told you to also check your 3 pin extruder breakout given a bed failure and I just was also helping another user with that 3 pin connector and you ask...

Re: Molex connector? Need to replace heat bed connectors.

?????????????? I just checked both my original emails back with the company in 2015 with Derek Li. That's what I ordered from Digikey and built my own connecting cables with. Take a picture of your connectors. That info was passed to several users, all replaced or fixed cables, you are the first one...

Re: One extruder plugged

Correct, yes, it's because you removed the temperature sensor known as the thermcouple. Owning this printer, it's imperative that you will at some point have to learn and master minimally understanding how the temp sensors work, what errors and can happen, the critical wiring in this printer and wha...
