Re: Just Released N2 Pro

Are the changes on the Pro versions worth the increased cost?

Is it true that the differences between the regular and the plus version just double the height?

What kind of filtration system do you have? Any scientific test data on its effectiveness?

Re: N2 or N2+

Deciding the machine type is totally related to your needs. What kinds of works you are going to use the machine to achieve? Advise us more details, we can make suggestions. Hello Vicky, what is your view? The N2+ seems to be future proof but as other forum users have pointed out, large pieces can ...

Re: N2 or N2+

The print volume of both extruders are 12*12*24 and 12*12*12. If you want to print dual extruder mixed print, then you will lose 25mm which is the distance between two nozzles in X direction. But if only use one extruder, the full print volume is just 12*12*24 and 12*12*12. Thanks for the clarifica...

Re: N2 or N2+

I plan to use it mainly for functional prototyping and designs. For example, development of prosthetic limbs, props, etc. So, I guess the N2 may or may not be big enough. Since both the N2 and N2+ have the same foot print, the only factor for consideration is the cost. Do the build volumes include o...

Re: N2 or N2+

Thanks. I am trying to decide between N2 and N2+, single or dual. Perhaps Vicky could comment on the effect of print volume on temperature and print quality when printing using ABS, PLA and PETG? Just curious, how long did it take to print something like the yellow honeycomb structure shown in the N...

N2 or N2+

Hello, trying to decide between the two machines. How many of you bought the N2 and then regretted not buying the N2+?

Re: One extruder or dual-extruder?

Please leave the thermocouple of second nozzle to be connected onto extruder board after removing the second nozzle or second hotend. Or you may meet temperature error. If you want to totally remove all the components of second nozzle, you can flash single-extruder version of firmware to your machi...

Re: What is the recommended space to put the N2/N2+?

Thanks Jetguy. Yes, I have seen the N2+ in person. It is quite big. In previous university, they bought me a very heavy duty table (those you see in labs in universities). I recall that about 6-8 strong guys carried it to my office. I was advised to also put my makerbot 2 on it to make it stable whi...

Re: What is the recommended space to put the N2/N2+?

Hello, trying to decide between the N2 and N2+. Currently the build volume of the N2 is big enough for me but not sure about the future. It seems that some users bought the N2 first but then later found that they need a larger build volume. Any suggestion? Can the casters under the N2+ be removed? D...

Re: One extruder or dual-extruder?

If I buy the single extruder version and later upgrade to the Bondtech dual-extruder version, do I need to change the motion control board and other hardware of the N2+ as well?

Re: One extruder or dual-extruder?

I've been doing the 3D printer thing for a couple years. I bought an N2+ in October and an N2 earlier this month. Both the machines I bought are dual extruder, even though I've only messed with dual materials a couple times. It's a $200 option, and if you bought the parts for a full hot-end you'd b...

Anybody tried it and had the fire alarm activated due to the fume caused by 3D printing?

Re: Can you share your experience on printing PETG?

I'm not sure why actually, but it definitely improved that first layer. Lens pic's below. This is 1.2mm thick. Hopefully you can see from the first image how transparent it is. This is just a tester, but the finished part will have six very bright LED's behind it, which make it really glow! DSC_099...
