Re: Help - Scary Error

V2 Hotend Questions

I have some questions on the V2 Hotend and it looks like information on it was not copied from the old forums. What I do know, is that is does not come with heater or thermocouple does it come pre-assembled? does it come with a brass nozzle? Is it compatible with 3rd party nozzle upgrades? I thought...

Re: failed print, hotends encased in plastic

I'm already kinda expecting for my printer to be down until the V2 is out. when I got the heat gun today, I also picked up welding gloves and welding pilers. I'm also thinking I need to just get new thermocouple and heaters for the V2, if it doesn't already come with them.

Re: failed print, hotends encased in plastic

when it broke, I immediate cut the power on the machine, it was reading a board error, because one of the wires on top broke as well. and I put a external fan on it to cool down the hotend. I've got two V2 hotends on preorder. only the left side had the thermocouple break. I'll test just the thermoc...

here are some pictures of the current status of the left hotend. when I was heating up the hotend to clean it, the heater slid out. maybe I can heat it up again and get the thermocouple out.

Re: failed print, hotends encased in plastic

are the thermocouple and the heater standard or are they parts I have to get specific for this machine? I've gotten plastic off but I can't get any part of the hotends apart, the M3 screws on top were overtightened before I even got it as is the nozzle. trying to get the M3 screws out has stripped a...

Re: failed print, hotends encased in plastic

got a big part off, and I have the extruder removed now. trying to remove the plastic with a soldering iron. not fun. one of the cables pulled threw on the machine while I was trying to remove the bulk of the plastic and it cased a board error, seems like my wires on the left extruder may be messed ...

Re: bed adhesion

I've been having not had to use anything besides the buildtek lately with the z-switch screw set right. I do sugjest you do Julia's z-switch screw spring mod. I've found that once you break the factory set tension, it will start to slip, which will reduce the distance between the nozzles and the gla...
