Re: V2 Hot End Information and Q&A

got my print to get past the board error. the broken coupler is still functional. updated the firmware and set it to 1 extruder. unpluged the damaged coupler to see if it would work with only one. answer is, nope. switched the good coupler to other port, still nope. if you have the dual extruder boa...

Re: Only using right extruder

not sure about your machine, and mine is down waiting for the V2 since I broke my thermocouple. On the V1, i had noticed before I wrapped it with some kaption tape that the other extruder helpped the other one heat up faster. but I was printing ABS so my heat levels were higher. after I wrapped some...

I'm hoping that "weeks" equals "days" since air mail is involved. or do you expect a long term at customs?

Re: V2 extruder skipping

looking back at his post, it looks like he got a N2+ last week with the V2 already installed. however it looks like the heater was not secured down. with the V2 coming out, I think we are going to need a detailed instructions on how to remove the heater and thermocouple from the V1 and then install ...

Re: How to remove hotend

I know I am planning to put a thermal diaper on mine so this kind of issue doesn't happen to me again. I saw it somewhere but it may have been in one of jetguys deleted posts. the V2 should have set screws in the sides to secure the heater and thermocouple.

Re: How to remove hotend

this is what happened to mine, only mine was both hotends encased in plastic. I damaged my thermocoupler when i was trying to remove plastic from the back end. your best bet at this point is to get a hot gun, (they are located in the paint section of stores like Home Depot). you might also want to g...

Re: How to safely remove PLA stuck to Buildtak

when I was doing my last few prints. I was running at 50c. It was sticking too much so I adjusted the temperature to 40c. I also installed a Z-Spring, because I felt the Z-screw was slipping causing less gap between the nozzle and the bed. I did a successful print that day at the 40c bed temperature...

Re: Tungsten Premium Nozzle?

Not sure I can back this kickstarter, due to the fact that key information is "backer only." I don't want to have to pay to learn if it is going to be compatible. They sent it to some guy who unboxed a nozzle, but he doesn't show it being used? seeing it in action would have been better imo.

Re: solidworks

ok

load the STL file
convert to solid
then you can edit it.

but if the object is not a solid, then you have to use other software to fix that.

in sketchup, I use CADspan to import STL files myself.

Re: solidworks

you options are probably going to be, have them export the file to something you can use, get a trial license for software that can import the file, or pay money for software that can do what you want. I myself, use sketchup, I need to eventually pick a license for it. simlab has an extention for sk...
