Vicky can you answer what the volumetric build rate of your printers are at the different resolutions. Preferable in cm3/hr measure scale.

Re: PRO2 real speed much lower than set speed

Curious if you tried putting it in vase mode for cylindrical shapes to see if it printed as expected? What slicing software did you use? What was all your settings at? Not sure stating that a direct drive will always be slower than bowden systems is a fair statement. The printer that MIT recently bu...

Re: Project: The next heated bed

I finally found a supplier in the USA for a cast milled 3/8 aluminum plate. https://www.midweststeelsupply.com/store/castaluminumplateatp5 tolerance is .015" on flatness and .0015" on thickness. I'd like the flatness a litter tighter on its tolerance but will try it first before continuing...

Re: E3D V6 on Pro2

I'd like to know how Raise3D did the auto lift feature? Currently I'm working on a whole new carriage that would use micro steppers to lift and lower the print head along with built in sensors that work with the print head as the device that presses against the bed to detect exact bed height. The i...

Re: Pro buildplate

That is the reason why we are not going to provide those parts for the upgrade, or the users need to do a lot modification works to make the upgrade works which may do harm to the printer. What happens if a user harms the printer? I'd assume you'd get a sale of a new PRO2 or the user would get a ne...

Re: Pro buildplate

Would anyone be interested in a kit version of Socke's new bed he built. http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1590 I'm still compiling all the pieces I need to build my own. Right now I'm getting bids on the 8mm thick aluminum bed. Not sure what the price point would come in at. May be p...

Re: Pro buildplate

But Raise3D answer to a post asking for the installation of the pro plate on the N series: Confirmed with the R&D team, both two upgrades you asked needs to drill the base plate to carry out the installation. That is the reason why we are not going to provide those parts for the upgrade, or the...

Re: Upgrade Components for N Series are Coming!

When you say "Dual Extruder" does this include the ability to raise and lower the left and right nozzle? Pretty sure she's just referring to this: http://shop.bondtech.se/en/upgrade-kits/raise3d/raise3d-dualdirect-upgrade.html I wish they'd do this but it would likely curb alot of existin...

Re: Upgrade Components for N Series are Coming!

That or just put all the parts online and allow your customers to decide for themselves if we want to tackle the upgrades. I hope your reasoning isn't hoping users will buy a new machine. From what I've seen you have a decent amount of users asking you to come up with upgrade options as they want to...

Re: Upgrading the n2plus with pro2plus parts

Really not many options on the market for retracting extruder / hotend systems that I've found anyway. Dglass3d makes a system but you'd have to mod the whole thing. They use to make independent lifting hotends but have sense stopped selling them. I've personally been working on cadd drawings for my...

Re: Migrate to different board and firmware

I'm having a hard time getting Marlin 1.8 and 2.0 working on the current hardware. https://github.com/Raise3D/Marlin-Raise3D-N-Series <- raise3d implementation of marlin. old code hasn't been updated in a year https://github.com/ABH10/Marlin-for-Raise3D-N-series/tree/1.1.x_Raise3D <- modified firmw...

Re: Thermal-Protector - available soon to all

Did a bit more digging and found a Molex F28H19S-14-050-N at Mouser . Can't quite find the flex rating but it does have the same stranding as the 3M cable so I assume it's close. Also can't figure out the purchase units (I'm assuming foot) but at a Qty of 10 it's only $50. Edit: Looking at the Cico...

Re: Getting ready for MRRF 2018

Did you use all Raise3d electronic controls? Any reason you choose them over lets say Duet3D for controller boards for your custom projects? I'm mainly curious as I made a post about changing over to a different board and firmware to something non Raise3D but it hasn't got any traction yet. What cou...

Migrate to different board and firmware

Personally for the price I paid for the printer I'm not overly satisfied with its feature set. I feel with almost ever print I have to tweak the clearance between the hot end and glass. For me printing 2 colors is just about impossible as it seems it always nocks the piece off. I partially link that...

Weird Linear Advance Calibration Print

I recently made a branch from ABH 1.1_x_bf that has Linear-Advance 1.5 in it and flashed it. Really didn't make any changes except model and been trying to tweak PID tuning so it will work but no success yet. My issue is I went to Marlin's site and made a K-Factor test file for 1.5 Linear-Advance. W...

Re: Poll - Do you use Ethernet, Wifi or Flash Drive to transfer your files to your Raise3D printer?

Well, I'm not sure what I did now, rebooted the printer and plugged/unplugged a bit and it's working. Definitely have to set 100/full/noauto both ends though. If it's set in the switch and not the printer, it comes up as half duplex (expected if I recall the ethernet spec correctly), if it's set on...

Re: Poll - Do you use Ethernet, Wifi or Flash Drive to transfer your files to your Raise3D printer?

I had spuratic Ethernet issue but never did try disabling WiFi. I get best copy performance copying over WiFi and via terminal using SCP. I gave up on Ethernet and GUI copy awhile back. I’m running latest touch and my own custom Marlin 1.8. I turned in a ticket and as I recall I was told there were...
