Re: V2 extruder skipping

So Zettlinger has V2????
If so I am wondering why not do the typical extrusion multiplier calibration?

Re: Front panel UI software

At a number of shows Edward stated on mic that the entire design for the R3D machines will be open source. Does that mean you guys will soon make the code for the Android front panel available??? Andy, I am not sure what's Edward's statement words. There might be some misunderstanding. I think he is...

Raise3D N-series printer?
I have not got a single report stated that couplers arrive broken.

Really?!
In the old forum there were 2.

Re: Buildtak

On the subject of BuildTak I was planning to remove it at the first chance I got. However I have gotten used to it for the most part, while I'm still not sold on it I do admit that it tends to just work for the mid sized prints I normally print. Only real issue I have with it is the larger and none...

Re: How to safely remove PLA stuck to Buildtak

One thing for sure... BuildTak can be controversial! I think we have established that it has issues and should be used with caveats. We are currently testing a ZebraPlate on other 3D printers (not the R3D). It seems to work quire well. Stick is quite strong, but you can bend the plate and get a thin...

Re: Print Failed... Offset 2" to the left??

Have you checked every set screw on every gear??? One of mine were loose when I got my N2.

With power off or steppers disengaged, does the carriage move evenly and smoothly by hand???

Re: Bed Leveling

I found this thread after I did my first bunch prints are saw the bed was lower in the front and higher in the back. So is there a way one can fix this??? Look for the mod I posted above... but first I suggest you try to get it level by shimming with Postit notes. Then there's the instructions on t...

Re: Bed Leveling

Hi All, I spent a few hours pressing the remaining bend out of my heater plate, I have replaced the glass with 6mm G10 FR4 Glass Epoxy Sheet, I slit the edge with a 3mm tipped saw, probably blunted it in the process! The slit allows the clips to clamp below the build surface give a clear build surf...

Re: Buildtak

Hello all! I just had to make an account and pop in on this thread and give my opinion seeing as though we have one that is out of control! So what do we have here? Post #7 by Andy Cohen, the problematic phrase used and taken as an offence is as follows: "Buildtak is great for those who do not...

Re: more teething problems

2 problems from the picture. 1: oozing and stringing. Increase the retraction material amount to 3mm under 'ooz' tab in 'advance'. Check 'avoid traveling through holes' under under 'ooz' tab in 'advance'. 2. blobs and glitch Slow down the print and increase cooling to the model. Lower flowrate by a...

Re: Bed Leveling

Good point Andy, I guess I had hot ends on my mind and not the bed.... I guess I should be busy and print out the parts, I've got some Polymaker PC-Plus I have been wanting to try but have been fighting some issues with the Z-stop adjusting screw. The Top has about a 4 degree angle to it that I did...

Re: I will receive my Batch 1 Super Earlybird N2 this week. What do I need to know?

Can I expect to print my 3rd party PLA and ABS with my V1 nozzle? --Certain 3rd party PLA and ABS is fine. However, it is subject to which supplier your filament is from. Is the V2 upgrade worth it or should I wait for a V3 or wait for additional upgrades to become available to save on shipping? I’...

Re: Shifting Forward and Backwards.

YA know, we've seen this before. Others with the same issue. One possibility is the steppers are missing steps. I hope I am wrong. So... Print speeds??? Going too fast can do this... I'd move the carriage (disengage the steppers) by hand slowly and try to feel for constant movement Vs it catc...

Re: Buildtak

I couldn't care less what anyone uses for a build surface, and I'm not married to Buildtak. The guy asked a simple question and I told him it was working ok for me. Another guy said it worked for him. Andy said he had release problems, which is good info to have, thanks for that. What's not so good...

Re: elmers glue

Regarding UHU: They've changed their formula back in 2015 to a more "green" one. UHU sticks produced after June 2015 don't work as a PLA/ABS adhesive anymore. This has been confirmed by UHU GmbH - they plan to bring a special 3D "Print-Stick" to marked which has basically the ol...

Re: Buildtak

Let me add a few more negative things about Buildtak. It is not too hard to tear or scratch it, especially when it is on a hot build plate. Looking on Amazon I see that a pack of three 12x12 inch sheets, note that the N2/N2+ bed plate is 13.75x13.75 (which means you have to buy it from R3D), sells f...
