Re: has anyone here tried HydroFill support material with ABS?

You may have a look here: http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5912 I just posted some tips and a R3D-N2-Profile for BVOH and ABS that works for me. I know BVOH is not cheap - but it does the trick (at least for me) and dissolves quite quick in water. Thanks! I was thinking about orderi...

Re: has anyone here tried HydroFill support material with ABS?

They offered me to trade in my 3D printer so I can print HydroFill on their Axiom machine

Re: has anyone here tried HydroFill support material with ABS?

Looks like I got my final answer from Airwolf3D: ''That would be the best recommendations i could give. Im not too familiar with raise3d hotend so if it is susceptible to heat creep then you might have issues printing hydrofill with it.'' So stay around 230 to 235 degrees and use a wipe tower.. I gu...

Re: has anyone here tried HydroFill support material with ABS?

I found more info on YouTube: ''Hydrofill: contains no PVA. Contains formula which allows ABS, some Nylons, and flexible materials to stick well. Does not carbonize in the print head. Although it is sensitive to moisture, it isn't nearly as bad as PVA which can get ruined even while doing large prin...

Re: has anyone here tried HydroFill support material with ABS?

I got an answer: ''I would recommend sticking around the 230-235 range. Hydrofill susseptable to heat creep if the filament is inactive for a long period of time. A wipe prime tower is recommended in order to keep filament moving through the nozzle.'' I already tried 230 to 250 even though 235 is th...

Re: has anyone here tried HydroFill support material with ABS?

That's a pity, expecially as they claim this is the magic solution: ''Designed for use with any brand of compatible FFF 3D printer, the new filament withstands high temperatures, strongly bonds with ABS and PLA plastics and rinses away with water.'' I will contact them to ask how I can print this on...

Re: [FEATURE][IM-3.0.5] Advanced cutting and splitting

Thanks, of course I understand. This isn't high priority and I think not easy to add. But it would be a very powerful feature making Ideamaker even more valuable :-)

[FEATURE][IM-3.0.5] Advanced cutting and splitting

I've just read this post from Raise3d: https://www.raise3d.com/blogs/case/custom-car-mods-crazy-grandpa-s-garage And in that article they make a very large model from an STL they have split into several parts. I have done this myself very often too. I use a program similar to Magics and Netfabb but ...

Re: Dual Color Labrador

I had the left nozzle printing with black and the right nozzle with orange Formfutura Premium ABS. Because it's ABS I could smooth the material with acetone and then I applied clear varnish.

If you want to try to print this you can upgrade. You can always go back right?

Re: BUG? no skirt, brim or raft on this stl

I tried with Ideamaker 3.0.5 and I do get a raft and support. Maybe it has to do with angles, the model has sharp angles at the bottom. Try to tweak some of these settings.

Re: Printer Filament Monitor

I tried to order, it stops at the payment page and asks for Credit card info. I don't have this, is the order still visible (my cart stays updated after leaving) so my order can be paid via resellers?

Re: has anyone here tried HydroFill support material with ABS?

ABS and HIPS may work well but I don't want to use limonene. I have one bottle but the smell.. I don't want my ABS models smelling like oranges. And apparently it damages ABS too. I have a Polysher and PolySmooth, maybe that could work. Dissolve the PVB support with IPA or ethanol. Also not ideal an...

Re: Printer Filament Monitor

Great news! I have contacted the Belgian reseller as I can't order from the Raise3D store in the Netherlands (even though Raise3D has an office here). I hope I can order it somewhere..

I heard it has detection for dual nozzle systems, that is awesome. Can't wait to install it :-)

Re: has anyone here tried HydroFill support material with ABS?

I have tried this but it wasn't a success yet. The filament got soft and jammed. I tried both nozzles, maybe somebody has tips for slicer settings and variables to get it to work? I had very high hopes for this because ''normal'' PVA has lower printing temps and this was advertised as the magical so...

Dual Color Tree Frog

I recently got a Raise3D N2 Plus and tested the dual nozzle and wipe wall on this model by Nervous System: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:329436 I used the 3.0.5 beta Ideamaker software and wipe wall. Red and black Formfutura Premium ABS: Treefrog.jpg I also smoothed another black and orange Form...
