Re: thermal pads for the HBP

Anyone wants the raw data on thermal pads, here they are: image (2).png 16 data points captured on the bed from a 4x4 grid with a non-contact IR thermometer w/ "peak hold" turned on and a 5 second "sample" was taken from each data point. 1) Control test: Heated bed to 100°c and t...

Re: E3D v6 Adaptor

My only fear is that with the blowers sticking so far out the sides you lose some x travel motion, Also if it goes back far enough it may hit the cable guide for the heatbed.

Re: how to keep the feed assembly cool

Would the bondtech extruders have the same heat issue? I'm guessing yes since it uses the same type of motors.

Re: E3D v6 Adaptor

The one thing I love about my setup is that the parts cooling fans nozzles create a "blade" of air striking the very tip of the nozzle. As a comparison, this is a Benchy on my Raise3D w/ E3D hotends & dedicated parts cooling: IMG_2577.jpg This is the same Benchy, same settings, same fi...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

I just tried installing my dual direct, and it looks like it's not going to happen without a ton of rewiring, or making a new little holder for the breakout board. My breakout board doesn't fit in the bondtec little shield, and both the heater/thermocouple, and the fan wires are much to short to fi...

Re: E3D v6 Adaptor

as far as the direct cooling fan, I actually saw one I'd like to adapt that will not need an assist duct. This one here. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2149774 Funny you should link that. My final setup for direct cooling ended up kind of like that: 9DE50F9A-EED5-443F-93E8-A23D7B530958.jpeg

Maximum amperage for parts cooling fan

I'd like to know what is the maximum amperage this port is rated for: http://forum.raise3d.com/download/file.php?id=6138&t=1 I intend to splice together 2x 5015 blowers (each rated for 0.15A). Will it be able to handle 0.3A? Best, Kareem EDIT: And yes, I am aware the leftmost port can be control...

Re: E3D v6 Adaptor

The nozzle shroud is still printing at the moment, but here is the model I used to design/print the setup. I'm using the stock cold-end fans and added 2x 5015 blowers for the parts cooling. 2018-01-06 12_44_40-Autodesk Fusion 360.png 2018-01-06 12_44_16-Autodesk Fusion 360.png 2018-01-06 12_43_31-Au...

Re: E3D v6 Adaptor

Almost done with my setup. Gotta finish printing the parts cooling nozzle to connect to the 5015 fans in the back.

Re: E3D v6 Adaptor

I noticed that my adapters have flat parts on the flange that fits into the print carriage. The rounded ends of the adapter seem to line up to where the set screws in the carriage will contact the flange. It seems that it needs to rotate 45 degrees more so that the flat parts line up to the front an...

Re: E3D v6 Adaptor

I am assembling my adapters today. Do you recommend using thermal paste between the heatbreak and the cooling fin adapter as E3D recommends?

Re: Parts cooling mod issue

My main goal was to setup cooling for both nozzles in my N2 dual setup. This is what I was trying to accomplish. I would've been triumphant if it weren't for the damn heater core wires.
