Re: Transporting my printer

i would take out the glass plate for sure and clip the 8 or 10 plastic things to keep your axes tight back in as a minimum (and of course be careful with the cap !). If you still have it there are 2 clips for the heatbed too (they screw on top of the 2 Z- Rods Other then that make sure it does not b...

Re: Do I have the new V2 hot end?

You can easily check by counting the heat fins 6 means a V1 if it has 7 it is a V2 (and as John said all new deliveries have a V2 standard)

Re: New Extruder, Bad Jam

Rgriesbeck: Regularry check how far the nozzle is from the bed (especially if you change nozzle or cleaned the extruder. Yesterday i had 4 failed runs (After weeks of almost no problems printing) and i noticed the nozzle was dragging over the surface. When i finally checked the nozzlegap from the Ho...

Re: Idea maker not creating support

did you try to adjust the overhang angle from 50+ to 5 or 10 degrees to see if it makes the support ? It might just think it can do it without the support , changing the angle will make it create support much quicker You can also set the distance for support if its set too far it might stop making t...

Re: LED Strip not hooked up form factory

I should install a 2nd strip too :) Any chance Raise3d will sell an upgrade package for it or we have to source our own and splice it in with the other strip ?

Re: Need help with printing Poly Support

the cocoon is a wipewall to try and prevent oozing on the model. (you can turn it off under ooze to test what it ends up like. if you turn it off increase retraction somewhat)

My N2+ was easily lifted by 2 people especially if you only use it on the floor. it looks heavier then it is (guessing it is about 60KG)

Re: Filament "dust" appeared in print head by extruder gear and idler wheel

If you mean the tubes going from the side of the printer to the printhead.... you NEED them, if you do not use them eventually the printer will jam on you. The problem is is when the printer prints near the filament then sudenly moves to the right it will pull on the filament so hard it can bend it ...

Re: PLA raft warping

Also depending on the environment you might want to shield the PLA print (closing doors and adding top) My printer is in the room next to a door that is open most of the day and thus creates drafts. If i dont shield the print by keeping door closed and the top on i get prints that look worse then wh...

Re: New Extruder, Bad Jam

rgriesbeck replace the nozzle and see if it solves the problem if you are sure the throat tube is clean as a whistle. If it is the nozzle i usually replace it and i will wait until i have a few clogged ones to torch them all together to see if they are fixable or need to be replaced Cleaning the noz...

Re: New Extruder, Bad Jam

I removed the nozzle first. (then check with the wire to see if that was the blockage) If the wire does not go through take off the alu block and fins then heat the throat tube. The plastic should ooze out, if not use the wire again but be careful to not pull up more liquid plastic Make sure to read...

Re: New Extruder, Bad Jam

i used a tiny torch (to make creme brulee) it uses simple lighter gas to heat it up so i could safely do it in a more convenient place then hanging off the printer :)

Not sure if you were in NL if so send me a PM

Re: Spare parts

Thank you for the offer but i rather keep it simple by only having one type of extruder :) Keeping them spare hoping to see spare alu blocks or for the moment i break a throat tube

Re: Spare parts

i ruined the alu blocks by trying to make a seal turning the throat tube too forcefully and the thread in the alu block got eaten :/ They recently released the correct way (first nozzle in up to 2 mm from block, then lightly turn the throat tube in and finish by setting the nozzle to hold tight) but...

Re: Allow stopping a print during heating

The display hands the code to the controller board, this is put in a queue (as you already suspected) and normally can not be interrupted easily

They are trying to make it stop faster not sure its already in the latest FW (keep an eye on both firmwares)
