Re: Independent print settings for each nozzle.

Now your question is clear :) The first msg did not mention you needed it for the dual extruder :)

Might be a good idea, else you will have to chose an avg between the 2 filaments

Re: Independent print settings for each nozzle.

No those things will be in my standard 'calibrate' profile and copied to a new one per new project(type) The retraction may vary between models so i would not want to put that into a filament setting (i always try to set the least amount of retraction you need for a certain model) Standard prints ar...

Re: layers on top of support, a better print on the bottom?

the only trick you could think of is to use PVA to make manual support blocks they will have a reasonable flat top (and thus create a reasonable flat bottom on the model) or wait for the new version with the dense support interface layer and test that out :) I am facing the same problem with some mo...

Re: Independent print settings for each nozzle.

I might not understand the question correctly but at the moment Ideamaker has what you want. If you add a new Filament and then go to the slice profiles you will see a new empty slate linked to that type of filament. When you change to TPU you need to select you loaded TPU and you will see the profi...

Re: Both extruders can't load filament - dead in the water

lylewaters visually check for filament stuck on or in between the gear and i would advice to make a support ticket. They might ask you to remove the stepper motor (4 screws on the front) to see if it still clicks when not inserted in the feeder block if its not stuck anywhere it must either not get ...

Re: Pause is not working during print

it is not 100% guaranteed.. but on a power cut i think it will re-home, reheat purge and restart so not the same problem as on a pause

(have not tested it yet and power is so stable here i cant even remember if i had any power cuts in the past 10-15 yrs)

Re: Project not on platform version 2.2.0 ideamaker

First layer missing happens when you do not have support on (even just external will work) When the software warns you (incorrectly) that you have nothing touching the plate and no support and you still continue slicing without support it will not only remove support but also the first layer (no ski...

Re: Both extruders can't load filament - dead in the water

Lyle: the fan that doesnt work, check it closely. the most frequent reason is often that there is a tiny piece of plastic stuck in the fan. Holding it in various positions while manually (slowly) spinning the fan can dislodge it And yes as vicky said , next order order one or two as a spare they are...

Re: Both extruders can't load filament - dead in the water

lylewaters: The procedure on changing filament is officially to first do a LOAD and push out some filament (the reason is that during heat up the tip might be getting too hot/liquid sitting there all that time, extruding actually gets rid of that and leaves a , a bit less hot, tip you can pull out. ...

Re: New Extruder, Bad Jam

I think if it was your feeder you should be able to manually push the filament out of the nozzle (you pushing is simulating the feeder being closer and forcing it more) If you have the rod stuck and you pull it up you might also pull up melted plastic and depositing that in the cold end. I assume yo...

Re: Project not on platform version 2.2.0 ideamaker

The support problem turns up after a while i think (i even had it with the 20mm calibration box) I just tried with the same box and it works fine now so i assume it happends when ideamaker runs for a while. i will try to reproduce the error and then save the position etc and restart ideamaker again ...

Re: Project not on platform version 2.2.0 ideamaker

I get the same error, turning on support fixes it (it did not actually print any support)

Continuing without the support seems to remove the whole first layer

And are you using a guide tube for the filament or is it hanging loose between the printhead and the side of the printer ?
