Do you have an example stl you can post that shows different orientation in ideamaker than, say, cura?

I haven't tried any other apps more than the Preview in Mac OS Sierra. There it shows the correct orientation.

Re: IdeaMaker mac fixes.

Oh. I dont know. I use he export to stl function from fusion. But if this is something that fusion should correct I don't know. But until then it wouldn't be really heard to let ideamaker correct the orientation on stls that's generetad from fusion. I can submit a question to Autodesk. But since oth...

Re: IdeaMaker mac fixes.

So sorry for that. We will check and test these two soon. Thank you for that. I would like to add one other problem as well. When adding stl-files from Fusion 360. The orientation they are placed in ideaMaker are wrong. They are standing on one edge and has to be rotated 90° on the x-axis to get th...

IdeaMaker mac fixes.

Hi. There are a number of bugs in the IdeaMaker mac version.

My biggest issues are:
· scrolling not working in the pop up menus. Have to use the scroll bar.
· pop up menus not adapting width to the width of the text. (Cant read the names of presets for ex).

Re: pixels on screen and noisy fans

BTW, basic specifications on the stock fans are: 35mm square and 10mm thick 12V DC (Amperage doesn't matter one bit, but they are rated at 0.15A I believe) The connector is a JST-XH 2.54 pin spacing 2 pin (be sure polarity matches your existing fans before plugging in) Brushless fans let out the ma...

Re: pixels on screen and noisy fans

Shurely there has to be fans available that are as strong as the stock fans but quiter? Apples fans has fan blades of different sizes that produces noises at more than one frequency. Therefore the perceived sound level is lower.

Are there quiter fans available on the market to replace the stock fans with?

Custom skins for the touch screen. (Star Trek Replicator of course!)

I know. I know. You do have to prioritise.
But sometimes you have to have fun.
And that this would be troublesome because of licensing.

But I would really lika a (official or unofficial hack) Star Trek Replicator interface on the touch screen!

What is the "leveling block?

In IdeaMaker there are an example model called "leveling block".
What is this and how/when/why do I use it?

Re: Even number of shells

Thanks for the clarification Vicky. I understand the logic. But would it be able to be smart enough to add one inner shell on one side if it fits?

And a question two your statement about the new idea maker version. When and why would one like to change the extrusion width?

Even number of shells

I will start to say that I don't know what happens behind the scenes here. But for me it seems like something that should be possible to fix. When printing a pipe with a total of three shells. The width is 3x0.4 mm (nozzle width). The middle shell isn't printed uniformly in a straight uninterrupted ...

Re: Matterhacker PETG Temperature

Regarding the temperature calibration tower. I have also downloaded and tried to print the one available on thingiverse. But I can not get it to stick either. Not with raft and brim either. The problem for me is Thant my PLA requires about 205–210°C to print ok. The calibration tower starts with the...

Re: Filament monitor

Wouldn't the easiest solution be to have micro switch that presses slightly against the filament after the spool. And the the filament runs out. The switch is triggered and cuts power to the printer. Thus using the printers backup feature to start again after a filament change. A bit ugly I know. Bu...

I would also rather see the estimated finish time. Not how long it will take. Just make it a toggle on the screen.

Calibration aid in ideamaker

I would like to have more guided options for calibratignf my printer. More than the supplied 20 mm calibration cube. It would be great to be able to print temperature towers with the size and temperatures that I choose. And then have example images to compare the print with and suggestions on how to...
