Noticed when I STOP a print, it doesn't move the bed bad to 0, but rather some other height quite a distance from 0. Not that it's a huge concern, but it started with the update today...

Re: Gear Slip at Overlapping Solidfill layer print

I know you and I previously discussed and I'm 99.9% sure you are at least running the sharp tooth drive gear I linked and recommended. That's a good upgrade and does improve grip, but alone it does not solve all the known potential shortcomings of the stock extruder feeder system. Jetguy, to your k...

Re: First layer = Crap?

Don't use raft for a part you want the face to be perfect on. Jet Guy, I specifically use raft to get better quality prints on the base because I need a guaranteed adhesion to the bed - and I use glue. I'm eight months new to 3D printing though... I get really nice quality prints with raft. I am cu...

Gear Slip at Overlapping Solidfill layer print

Any thoughts are appreciated in advance. I hope I described it enough to be understood. ESD-ABS 240°C (dropped to 225°C). Bed 110°C blah blah blah. I've been printing various materials very successfully since I received the printer. A little trial and error and I get better than expected prints (th...

That's assumed necessary as soon as you take the glass with the buildtak and replace it with the glass without.

You don't need to replace or re-level anything and probably won't even need to adjust the print height - just flip the buildplate over and print on the glass side.

Re: ABS warping

Reluctantly, I guess I will have to try printing ABS on the glass after all (for large prints). ;P So I've done some testing with WolfBite on glass. 2 hours of testing at 240 nozzle and 100 bed. Fun stuff  - small 1.25 x 1.25 print didn't even make it to the end of the first layer before it w...

Re: ABS warping

I never got anywhere with ABS until I started using "ABS Juice" on the glass bed. I use SimpleGreen to clean off the surface of the glass and wipe it till it squeaks. Then generously slather acetone/ABS slurry over the bed, pre-heat it for about 10-15 minutes and get printing. When the pr...

If you search through the forum you will find that the upgrading process for this may be rather difficult and it is likely a better solution to just purchase the pro2.

Re: ABS warping

That would simply give more warping. It's the cooling and shrinkage that causes the issue. I print about 95% ABS. On PEI adhesion is not an issue even for large parts. I know I print a little unorthodox for ABS. I use gluestick on buildtak. I use raft when a nice flat surface is required. No prints...

Re: replacing nozzle fan on N2+

[quote="Jetguy"]Standard fan is a 35x10mm 12V fan. Jut about any fan within standard catalogs will work, connector is 2 pin JST-XH series.

Curiously, what's the connector part no. and the crimper part no for the terminals?

For the love printing, can we add an auto shut-off option to the end of printing?
