Re: Surface quality on tall prints
Hi basilfawlty, The problem of the part wobbling is not really a problem with the printer so much as the part/material limitations. In almost all printers you will encounter this if you take a thin hollow object and make it tall. Some wobble of the printer could cause the part to have a degraded qua...

Re: Anyway to default to the right extruder?
At the moment, the quick way to default to the right extruder is to upload the model, select "View" in the icon bar and select the model. This will give you the option of selecting the model as a left or right hotend model. Once this is done you will need to change the support and raft set...

Hi Stephanscharf,
We currently do not have that feature in ideaMaker, so do not worry, you have not missed a setting. Thank you for submitting your request, we will make a note of it.

Re: how to clean filament off of the feed gear
I think that in this case it would be best to back the stepper motor out of the print head block and remove the excess filament by use of a small dental pick or other tool. Please see the attached picture for the 4 mounting screw locations for the top extruder motor (Marked in Cyan).

Re: Issue with a sphere
Hi Stefan,
It looks like the part may need supports to be completed. will you be attempting this with dual extrusion or is it single extrusion with two parts? Roughly how large is the part you are printing?

Personally, I have not had any issue with bed level using the PEI sheet, you do not have to get everything super tight in tolerance. Plus I still use raft for almost everything.. That could be a factor.

Hi ecocode,
This looks like a bit of over extrusion, check your presets and make sure you are on the correct profile for your filament.

Re: ABS Printing
I got some PEI off of Amazon and the transfer tape. Sanded the top surface of the PEI with about a 500 grit sheet, works like a charm. I do have a second glass plate for the probable drop of a plate in my future and for using other materials with Glue. The PEI I got is 12x12 so if I try to flip to g...
