Re: Setting the height of the build plate
Hi RaiserDog, From what you have stated you are adjusting the nozzle height after something like a nozzle swap. For this you do not have to begin a print to check nozzle height but simply move the print head to X/Y home and then home the Z. From here disable the motors and move the print head to ove...

Re: Printing flush text as a second color
When you exported the parts did you happen to suppress each part and export them one at a time or did you open them in a new instance and export them from there? If you suppressed them they should still own the same origin point for ideaMaker to reference. For the text being a different color, you w...

Re: What to do about edge curl?
I would agree with almost everything EldRick said except for the last part. Rick, it seems you missed the part where this is a chain-mail print, making one part at a time is not exactly an option! To put it simply, increase cooling by any means for PLA, reduced heating temps top cover off and front ...

Re: How do I calibrate the two nozzles
Hi 3DPProfessor, It sounds like you are attempting to print dual extrusion with two different parts but you do not want them to be attached to each other once the print is done? If this is correct then I would not recommend you try this path as it will only lead to either the parts sticking together...

Re: Source for PEI sheet with adhesive
I would heed caution on dropping a hot plate into a freezer with a warp part on it. You may end up buying a new PEI sheet and glass plate combo!

Re: Source for PEI sheet with adhesive
Hi EldRick,
Please let us know how your testing comes out after switching over the build plate. I have a PEI sheet at home for my N2 and it works quite well. That being said I do not tend to print full volume and in a wide assortment of materials.

Re: L Nozzle Default Flow Rate 94
The controls on the front of the printer read the code and give a value based on the ones prescribed in the slicer. My post stated "change the material type on the printer. " but that is meant to say "change material type in the slicer". The printer, for the most part, has no clu...

Re: how to adjust the distance between the feed gear and the guide
Hi Jab136,
There is not much of an adjustment you can do but you can try to shift the motor on the extruder block. You could also shim the motor over on one side to bring the drive gear closer to the bearing. This will put a slight angle on the motor and drive gear but this is fine.

Re: Dual N2 with Right extruder removed - load single or dual firmware?
Hi EldRick,
In the past we would package both single and dual into the same update, as of right now I would recommend loading the Dual and keeping the printer up to date with its inherent code. I do not have reason to believe loading the single extrusion will cause any issues with the printer.

This is the setting in ideaMaker as a standard for PLA, it may be an idea to leave it as is and see if you actually do get under extrusion.

Re: thinking about active cooling options for the motors
I believe using stick on heat sinks would be more effective than using a fan to blow warm air onto the motor. What is the root cause that necessitate the need for extra cooling on the motors directly? Have you had problems with grind out or something?

Re: Raise3D Standard vs Premium PLA
Hi Asawal, There really are not any "Issues" with the Standard material we carry, it is more of just a difference in surface finish and durability that is the main difference between the two types. The print settings are nearly identical and we do not differentiate between them in our soft...

On the surface, the G-Code looks good from what I viewed. I do not believe you need quite so many lines of brim though. 4-5 should do just fine.

PolyMax tends to have a really low softening point to it which can cause problems over longer prints. I personally really like PolyMax because of its ability to take a beating. (Helps for wearable's and cosplay items).

Re: single layer walls in ideaMaker
Hi harrisonaero,
There was a post about this a while back but it comes down to this. The slicer needs to make all walls with an inner and outer wall or surface unless running with Vase mode on. In which it will choose the outer layer as the only layer.

Hi Alrawly,
Welcome to our community, we hope you have a great time here!
At the moment I do not believe we can have the hotend drop temp while paused. There may be a function I am missing off the top of my head.

I agree with Rog, if you were still having height issues you would not see this much under extrusion this far up from the bed with the part.
