Re: Ready to give up?

Hi @NitrousO

I would also like to know if you are using ideaMaker to slice the files? If I could get your email I would be more than happy to shoot you a sliced file to see if we can eliminate a few of the possibilities quickly.

Re: N2 Plus ... On a Table?

Hi Zemlin, There will be no problem having the printer up on a stand or table. While the shipping weight is 190 the printer is closer to around 105 lbs total. So there should be someone there to assist you in lifting the printer being that it is a rather large object to lift. There is not much in th...

@Redron357,

I think a project like this could never be considered truly "Finished". However I do agree with you we would love to see an update on this project!

Re: Printing speed

Hi Jonashansen, There are two questions that have been asked here that are being blended into one. First we have movement speed versus printing speed. To give you a good example, our default printing speed on a standard profile is around 50mm/s and our print head movement speed is around 100mm/s. Wh...

Re: prtint stop takes very long time

Hi Chrons,

Based on our tests with the official Raise3D firmware, we haven't found any side effect of using fast stop other than its base function so far.

To clarify Walshlg is correct. You can flash both the Touchscreen and Motion Controller Board at any time with a new update, you do not need to run them sequentially.

Hi Marcus, I believe I understand your problem but I think a few pictures will help us understand further. Being that you are working with Simplify3D you may need to contact them for support if the problem is a translation in the G-Code. Could you try the same setup with ideaMaker and see if the res...

Re: ABS general questions

Michael, could you explain "over extrusion" for me. Also, do you have any thoughts on the PC-max filament? From what I've read about it I think it might meet our requirements without the "problems" of ABS. Over extrusion happens for a few different reasons. In this case it looks...

Re: ABS general questions

Hi Nitrous0, In your second picture it looks like you may have quite a bit of over extrusion happening, the first layer should be consistent. You may want to check your first layer height and your nozzle height adjustment. The part on the top right looks like it is coming out well when compared to t...

Touchscreen Firmware 0.9.2 Release Note 2017.06.22

The majority of the update comes in the “Settings” Menu. One of the major bugfixes we have comes in the form of the PID autotune feature. This feature is to help those printers whose printhead heaters cannot reach the desired temperature. An example of this issue is as follows: Print head temperatur...

Re: V2 Hotend and 3rd Party Filament?

The issue with the V1 hotend is that materials will stick in the barrel and cause jams. Harder to dislodge than the normal clogs. It will work fine for the standard material but anyone else's material is a tossup. I would replace it just out of caution or in preparation for using other materials.

Re: auto-height (not auto-level)

Placing the Z-Endstop on the build plate would be a more of a task than just "getting it done". The build plate is being measured from the bottom of the plate but it is offset from the Z-Screw. In order to adjust automatically we would need to place a Z-Sensor onto the print head as the se...

For the most part, I only adjust the Nozzle diameter and extrusion width when changing nozzles. I will change settings if I am changing to something other than standard PLA or ABS. Each person will have a preference to their settings and no one will have the perfect answer because each person's envi...

Re: Electronic kit

At the moment Raise will not be selling the touch screen box on the open market. We ship units with the serial numbers coded into them now on a warranty basis. The Touchscreen's are a proprietary part so we cannot sell them outside the printer.
