Re: Any Ideas??? 0.2 nozzle

Thanks Mecha. So if I am printing with O. 05mm layer height, what should I set my my Nozzle distance to bed? I know you have some experience with small detailed prints and value your opinion... Thanks. Also did you reduce the Flow rate as well? Any reduction in print speed? I used blue tape because ...

Any Ideas??? 0.2 nozzle

Hello. I just bought one of these steel 0.2 mm nozzles from here and have a tough time getting it to print properly. I did set the printer setting to 0.2 and I'm using standard pla. Do I need to adjust the print temp or distance between Nozzle and Print bed? I typically use 0.2mm space between bed a...

Re: Polycarbonate - test Print.

Thanks Vicky.

Always good to share settings among Raisers as it helps us all in the long run to try new filaments and really see how great the N2 is :)

Re: Complete list of filament

You can but those exotic filaments are abrasive.

Just replace the brass nozzle with a hardened nozzle and you should be fine.

Ninjatek- Armadillo (TPU) : Do you like?

Hi there.

Going to pick up a spool and wondering if anyone would share their experiences using this filament?

This stuff is expensive!

What settings did you use?
Bed temp
Nozzle temp
Print speed
Retraction

Thanks.

Re: Omg!.. Where is Ripley from ALIEN to help!!!

Thanks.
No other tips other than the settings above.

I was actually able to fit ALOT of the pieces on a single print bed.... I did however scale it down to 80%...as you can see it still turned out to be an acceptable size:)

Re: Omg!.. Where is Ripley from ALIEN to help!!!

Thank you Vicky.... This was a single extrusion print in white PLA. I did not polish it because I believe it takes away from the realistic appearance of the alien creature. I would have far better results if I airbrushed it. I only used standard Acrylic Laquer paint you find in any hardware store. T...

If I start doing more of these, will invest in an airbrush kit.

Re: PETG: problem with 0.8mm nozzle

Thanks for suggestions....

However, using my 0.8 nozzle with pla wood, works well and so far no clogs because of the larger nozzle. And of course half the time to print at the price of lower resolution.

How about a Halloween Mask !

Filament: filaments.ca, glow in the dark
Settings: standard R3d pla, 0.25 layer
Rafts: yes
Support : no,
Time: about 13hrs

My N2 is doing a fine job :)
Thought it would have issues with nose and eyebrows overhangs, no problem at all without supports.

PETG: problem with 0.8mm nozzle

Ok. I'm loving my new experience with PETG after graduating from using PLA :) If I print the Filaments.ca brand of PETG with a 0.4 nozzle it comes out great(see pic). I tried printing the same model with a 0.8mm nozzle and things go bad. Doesn't even stick to buildtak. Someone on forum mentioned to ...

Re: PLA Print gets knocked off bed?

High probability that is what happened.
You should make sure you set the height of both nozzles correctly and ran the calibration test for the dual extruders .... Support team can give you the instructions .. Just mentioning that.
