Re: Fan Upgrade

I would not draw more current than the current configuration - you can substitute blowers for fans to create more static pressure - not sure what the FET's on the extruder board are spec'd at...

Re: Ideamaker slow on OSX

S3D IS faster - don't think there's an issue with your computer or IM other than it being slow.

Re: New abrasive resistant nozzle from 3dsolex

Yes - been testing them out as well with their tool steel nozzles - also working on reworking the cooling for the regular Raise design - almost finished with new heatsink cooling blower and duct and 360° part cooling ducts... Have not had a chance to install the 3DSolex nozzles on the raise hot ends...

Re: Printing above 250°...

No - just need to print the duct which I have a newer version of, wire the fans and the new heaters and thermocouples. You will need to lower the z-axis optical end stop too.

Bridging settings for perimeters...

Is there any way to turn this on?

If not can we get it added to a future release?

It's critical for successful bridging operations.

Re: New abrasive resistant nozzle from 3dsolex

Mine will be here in a few days - have no reason to doubt their quality as they've been producing the same nozzles for the Ultimaker for some time.... will post an update.

Door magnets!

Tired of your door closing you? I had some counter sink magnets lying around and they work perfectly - the frame of the door is steel. You'll need a few mm longer M4 flathead or round head machine screws - did't try the originals but they may reach... https://www.amazon.com/ZJWEI-Countersunk-Permane...

Another Bug?

Seems the first layer is printed at the correct speed but then the following layers each get successively faster instead of just jumping to the correct speed for the rest of the print - this slows the whole print down a lot. 3.4.0.2855 -john Screen Shot 2019-04-05 at 12.38.30 PM.jpg Screen Shot 2019...

Re: ideaMaker 3.4.0 Beta Release Notes

I'd love to try the Beta but I have a question to which I cannot find the answer: If I install the beta of ideaMaker, will it interfere in any way with the STABLE install of ideaMaker? To ask another way: can I run both the stable and BETA of ideaMaker together on the same computer with no interfer...

Re: Headers for Autoleveling...

They're there in plain sight - they were put there for a reason - assuming they are labeled correctly and are physically connected to the main board there is no reason (other than closed FW) not to enable them. You have the two switch posts for the Z min and ground, V+, and signal for the servo or w...

Headers for Autoleveling...

I noticed there seems to be a set of headers on the Pro2 extruder board labeled "z min" and "G V S" - these are obviously for an auto leveling sensor - why can't we get it working Raise? I have 3 build plates with differing surfaces none of which are BuildTak - would be really ni...

Re: Liquid cooled heat sink for the Pro2

Add to the list: poor or basically absent layer cooling, no bed leveling, no non-linear extrusion, and no industry standard nozzles - all things present or easily added to printers that cost less than $1k.

Very frustrating.

Printing above 250°...

For those of you who have real needs to print with materials other than PLA, PETG, Etc - the cooling issue or lack thereof with the Raise Pro2 design needs to be addressed by Raise. In the mean time - here's a solution that doesn't cost much, doesn't involve water and doesn't add significant weight ...

So it's works quite well with PETG and Nylon - haven't tried ABS yet but I have no reason to believe that it would not be similar. 3dxtech - look no further and dry it well. -john Thanks, are the settings difficult to figure out compared to PLA. Is there a need to have a heated chamber ? What settings do you have ?
