Re: Both extruders can't load filament - dead in the water

Actually it is not hard to know how deep can the rod go. Since you have do the mark. Then you can drag the rod out and put the mark point out of the print head, you can know how deep did the rod go last time. 74mm remain is impossible. Since the rod should be over 300mm. There couldn't have over 20...

Re: Both extruders can't load filament - dead in the water

Ok, fine, I don't understand how the disable motors command functions. My printer is totally non-functional and I am trying to figure out how to get it unjammed. The printer is off and then I turn it on. As far as I know, I am not giving it ANY commands. I then try to follow the directions for clear...

Re: Both extruders can't load filament - dead in the water

Vicky, It is very hard for me to answer your question about how deep can the rod go because the hotend and nozzle are not transparent. How can I tell by feel if I am hitting the throat tube or the middle of the throat tube, or the heating block, or the nozzle? If you can tell m ehow many millimeters...

Re: Both extruders can't load filament - dead in the water

Vicky, Ok, I searched the site for instructions on how to clear a clogged extruder. I found a link on the wiki for cleaning a clog on a V1 but I thought I would try it. I suggest updating it to say V1 and V2 or if there are different instructions for V1 vs. V2, then you should also have instructions...

Both extruders can't load filament - dead in the water

I have an N2 with the V2 hotend. I only have Raise premium PLA. I started with the yellow and have had good results printing with the yellow in the left extruder. I loaded my Raise premium red PLA in the right extruder and tried to print 2 fish models at the same time, one in red and 1 in yellow. It...

Re: Lay flat not working

Vicky, Thanks for the reply. Ok, so lay flat doesn't completely work yet, I understand. As far as the coordinates, yes, I understand the purpose, however what I am trying to explain is that if you intend the colors to represent X, Y, and Z, then you should use the labels X, Y, and Z in the dialog bo...

Lay flat not working

I am trying to print this: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:252380 Inside of this object is a core that has many sides. Each of these sides are flat, but the original model doesn't have it oriented with ANY of the flat sides down. Someone even commented on this. I looked and found that ideaMaker has...

Re: Dual extruder printing

Ok, after nobody from Raise kicks in to offer some suggestions on dual extruder printing, I've poked around a bit and think I've figured most of this out. I really do think it would be a good idea for someone at Raise to put something together because what they currently have under dual extruder pri...

Re: 1.1.2 Motion Controller Board Firmware Released

Jetguy, Thanks. What I meant by updated was me asking Derek if the typo was already "corrected" in Vicky's attached files or the files that were posted on the Raise download site. I actually should have asked the question to Vicky since she posted the reply saying that there was a typo and...

Re: Dual extruder printing

Thanks, I have been reading through the forum for as long as it has existed. Even before I received my printer. However, I do think there needs to be a bit better instructions. This is my first printer and I've been trying to read a lot so I don't ask too many stupid questions, or waste a lot of tim...

Re: 1.1.2 Motion Controller Board Firmware Released

Jetguy, Thanks. That's all I wanted to know. I have no desire to compile my own firmware and just wanted to know if the files Vicky attached to her post or the ones in the download section had the error or not. After all of this discussion though, I guess I should have know that what they posted wou...

Re: 1.1.2 Motion Controller Board Firmware Released

Derek,

Ok, so does that mean I can download the firmware from the downloads section of the Raise website, or from Vicky's attachment and it will be fine? Or is only the GitHub files updated?

Re: 1.1.2 Motion Controller Board Firmware Released

So can anyone at Raise comment on the error that was reported? I want to download the new firmware, but I'm not sure if the version that was attached to Vicky's post also included the error, or if it was just the version posted to GitHub. I'm new so I'm also not sure if I could just download Jetguy'...

Dual extruder printing

So I have an N2 dual extruder model. I would like to start trying to print using both extruders. For my initial attempt I thought I would try printing this fish keychain. I printed it using the yellow Raise PLA and I thought it would be cool to print 2 of these at the same time, one in yellow and ma...

To raft or not to raft

I'm new here. I've only printed a few models. I've read a lot of the forum posts. I see that there are a lot of experienced users who print without using a raft. It seems like there are various reasons for this. Maybe it is because of the extra filament required or maybe because of the kind of textu...

Re: Filaments always seem to be out of stock

Vicky, thanks for letting us know that the filament is in America. A few more questions. How much of it was shipped from China to the US? I've been trying to order filament for MONTHS! Am I supposed to check the stock on the website every hour or something? It "seems" like when you do get ...

Vicky, it is now June 5th. The website store still shows that most of the PLA filaments are out of stock.

Re: Filaments always seem to be out of stock

Can I suggest that the web store be improved to allow us to backorder items that are not in stock and then have everything ship together once things are in stock? This is just a basic online store feature and because this feature is lacking, I have missed out on free shipping of filaments and potent...

Re: printing with polymaker pc plus

I might have missed it somewhere, but I didn't see it documented anywhere in the quick start guide on what those black pieces were or how to install them. I think it would be good if Raise updated their documentation to include this information.
