Re: What prints at 400 degrees C?

i dont see an easy way to make these machines print Ultem the way stratasys does. Ultem's glass transition temp is about 190c, the build chamber temperature is set at just under the tg at a toasty 185c (110c for Nylon 12, 100c for PC, 90c for PC-ABS and 85c for ABS) . this will turn an N2 into a goo...

Re: What prints at 400 degrees C?

Ultem9085 is normaly extruded at 385c and can go up to 420c on a quick purge on stratasys FDM printers.

Printer starting sequence

Is it possible to change the order of heating up when starting a new print. Currently the hot end heats up before the hot bed. This means my hot end will sit baking the filament for 12-14 mins before my heat bed gets up to temperature and it begins printing. I would like to change the sequence to he...

Dyson tool adaptor

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1608559

I designed and printed this today, first time using MG94 abs resin from E3D. very pleased with the outcome.

It allows you to fit any dyson tool to a 1.25in vac nozzle (in my case a dewalt DCV582 shop vac).

Re: raise uk sales

I think the point that was trying to be raised is $25usd shipping for a nozzle that weighs 2.10g is not reasonable. at lease provide an alternative shipping option for the small items.

Re: ideaMaker User Manual

Can you explain some of the newer features implemented after you released the last copy of the idea maker manual. Features like: Advanced settings>GCode>Start GCode Number of extruders option (1/2) and what effect it has on the print? are you going to add tooltips to ideamaker? that would help a lot.

Re: Default end of print bed position

On our stratasys printers when a job completes the bed will fall to mid level position (if possible) or stay where it is if past mid point position. it will will not allow the Z to move up until the user has confirmed removal of the part by a warning screen before enabling Z axis upward travel. Ther...

V2 Hot End Cooling Duct (no downward cooling)

A remix of Kezat's original duct to suit ABS printing - modified with larger opening to suit V2 heatsink.

Re: Printer Filament Monitor

adding a limit switch between the extuder and spool would be enough to detect expended filament condition. then at least it would be able to pause for user action.

Re: Additional info to print job page

in the slice report there is a line:
Estimated Amount: X.Xg

This weight of material should be very useful if it was recorded into the info page of the print.

Additional info to print job page

In the info page when selecting a job to print, can you add a line for estimated material usage as predicted by IM. Also when a job completes it will say the actual time taken - can that be written back to the file so when the job is recalled it will have the last run time for more accurate time pla...

Re: How to convert STL to solid model for editing

Ansys Spaceclaim w/STL prep pack. it is not really accessable to non-professional use (the lisence is quite expensive) but it is very good at solid modeling for mesh files.

Re: Saw Julia on the interweb news this morning...

the nebulizer is key to get uniform droplet size and consistant surface saturation. I have built a similar machine for our own vapour smoothing station at work for larger ABS prints. without constant air circulation your finishing results will not be consistant.
