Re: Z Hop - Hopping after every single line on 1st layer

I'm pretty sure that's what I have set. I'll double check though. Thanks. It didn't do it on the rest of the layers, just that first one for some reason.

Re: Amazed at the quality of the Pro2!!

Ok, as suggested, I went to thingaverse and downloaded a cool looking Gears of War helmet to print which will test a long duration print, high detail, lots of support and a difficult object to print. It is a 19 hour print. I started it last night and checked this morning and it was looking GREAT. Th...

Z Hop - Hopping after every single line on 1st layer

I set the Z hop on my last print to be used and noticed that on the first layer, it does a Z-Hop for EVERY SINGLE line that it laid on the first layer that are right next to each other. WHY??? I only wanted it to be utilized when moving from one area to another hoping it would not run the nozzle ove...

Re: Stop heating unused extruder on Pro2

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking to add to my tool change. I have the same problem many times and just want to cool the hot end enough to eliminate oozing, and cooking the filament. I have used the new Cura and they do this thing where they start heating the nozzle that will be switched...

I agree. I noticed this recently after using a different software before. I miss the quick view change option to quickly see what the effect will be.

No, I do not have any support filament to test yet. I will order some soon. I will keep updating with my findings, but so far I'm VERY impressed with this machine. Hopefully it stays that way. (Fingers crossed)

Re: How can I print support structures in HIPS?

Yes, that is correct Vicky. BVOH is sensitive to moisture. I built a dry box that holds 2 spools with a tube going to the printer on my last machine. It worked well. I put a reptile heater in the bottom and a box of desiccant with a digital humidity gauge. I used a plastic container with a seal from...

Amazed at the quality of the Pro2!!

I've been 3d printing for a long time and this machine is amazing. We paid a lot more than this for terrible machines. I unboxed this machine tonight and loaded the latest software on it, readjusted the bed height, downloaded the dual extrusion test print and hit print using the stock settings at no...

What heat sinks did you put on the motors, and where did you get them please?
I want to do the same exact thing on ours.

Re: X-Offset on Print

Sometimes it is really hard to see, they can split in the thin areas and you can barely see it. But it's there. I've seen this before and had a similar issue with my prints as what you are seeing. With the power off if you have access to the coupler you could try to spin one end of the coupler by ha...

Wow, that is disappointing to hear. I was hoping you had tweaked something else or were using a different material. I hope they can get you an answer soon on this.

Re: How can I print support structures in HIPS?

I would like to hear tips on this as well. I am also interested in this. I was wondering about using BVOH as well, because I've heard HIPS likes to burn up and clog nozzles. I have used BVOH before and it worked quite well with ABS. Vicky, do you guys have any settings or tips to help us with these ...

Re: Poor quality and printhead drag

Shelton, What material is that you are printing with? Have you adjusted the default ideamaker settings for this material at all? I am curios because I have seen many amazing prints come off of these machines, it seems like something is amiss here. My machine arrives today, I can't wait to start test...

Re: Idea maker with xyz DaVanci pro

Yes, you can. You just have to set the software up for your printer specifications. I used Ideamaker on an Airwolf printer because their software was HORRIBLE as well. It worked great. We have since gotten rid of our Airwolf printers and recently purchased our first Pro2.

Re: Print Quality - 1st solid layers on infill

This is a GREAT idea. I have thought that would be a nice feature before but I didn't know a different software was actually doing that. Very cool, and this should definitely be implemented by Ideamaker!! I hope they feel the same.
