Re: Bed leveling PRO PLUS 2 test or reference points

Ya, this would be a nice feature. Most other big name printers out there do this as well.

Re: Nozzle drags on raft

I have noticed the same thing. I wish there was a way to make it lower the bed a tad bit when traveling to the next location to start printing again.

Re: Cura settings for Pro Plus 2

I'm sure it will, I used it a few months ago with a different printer and it is amazing. I loved it. It takes some getting used to because there are so many parameters to adjust, but once you get it down it's great. They have some really nice features that I hope Ideamaker adopts soon. I'll be tryin...

Re: How to compensate material shrink?

I am saying the Compensation for Holes and exterior sizes should be where the "XY Compensation" currently is. And what is called XY Compensation, would make more sense in the settings from the tab where you adjust for your specific printer parameters. It doesn't make sense where it is, and...

Re: Preheat from Computer in Ideamaker

Sort of but I really would like the full functionality of heating both nozzles and bed at the same time from the computer. The bed takes forever to heat up, so I really like to start it heating early. I'm mainly interested in the bed heating up, but it makes sense to just heat all 3 at once. No, I s...

Re: Bed Height Adjustment Screw Slop

OK, I will take it apart this weekend if I can find time to mess with it and see what's going on inside of it. Thanks for the input. I don't know how to make this visible on a video. If I can I will.

Preheat from Computer in Ideamaker

I like the preheat function on the printer, but I think it should also be available on the computer in the Ideamaker software. And also on your cloud once that is available to everyone.

Re: ABS/ASA printing issues N2 Plus

I have noticed that it is much more finicky with ABS than PLA. With PLA it doesn't seem to matter as much how well you smash that first layer onto the bed, but with ABS I have to have it smashed just right or it won't stick hardly at all. It seems like it has to be flattened out pretty good to get g...

Re: Bed Height Adjustment Screw Slop

No, it's not about fixing it in place, it's about adjusting it one way then the next, you turn it quite a ways before it actually engages and moves the tip. It seems like it has way too much slop in the threads or something. i like the idea of adding a spring to keep it in tension. I'll have to take...

Re: How to compensate material shrink?

I want to compensate for material shrinkage also with ABS. Every other software I've used has this as a percentage that you can adjust. Simplify3D has this as well as a hole size calibration. The only thing I've seen that you can do to adjust for shrinkage with Ideamaker is the flowrate from what I'...

Bed Height Adjustment Screw Slop

I am just wondering if anyone has come up with fix for the bed height adjustment screw. I love the concept, but I hate the actual screw. Maybe it's just on my machine, I haven't read about other people mentioning this before. But when I turn the screw from one direction to the other, there is play i...

Re: Filament Stepper Motors very hot - even when not printing with nozzle

SchMax, how did you get power to the pins where the plug goes to the circuit board for the added motor?

Also, do you know if the pins above the ones you are using can be used for a fan on the other motor as well?

Re: New Idea Maker

Yes, I agree. Cura has become the Golden Standard. Their software is amazing now. I really like how they change the temperature of the extruders based on when they will be used next so the filament doesn't keep oozing, and doesn't get cooked in the extruder and nozzle when not in use. I think this f...

Re: Does anyone have any tips for Pro2 Dual Nozzle Calibration

Ok, I found the issue. It was a mistake on my end, I was thinking it almost looked like the offset got worse if it did change at all. Well, I made the dumb mistake of shifting the offset the wrong direction on each axis based on my test. I made the proper correction and it is now dead on. Thank you ...

Re: Does anyone have any tips for Pro2 Dual Nozzle Calibration

yes, I made a new print test and it showed it was still off. I edited these offsets again and will try again tonight to see how it goes. I'm just having a hard time finding the time to do much right now.

I'll let you know if this doesn't work.

Pro2 XY Nozzle Calibration File

IMG_20181010_211814.jpg I made my own XY Calibration file for the Pro2 tonight. I am attaching it here. It worked very well. I just used the standard Pro2 ABS settings for this file, which has a 1st layer height of .3 and a 2nd layer height of .15. Hopefully it will be of benefit to someone else as...
