Re: Ethernet connection to N1 printer.

Glad to hear it helped! Not sure about yours but our printer is now MUCH faster at 100Mbps than it ever was at 1Gbps.

Re: Severe underextrusion

Have you tried using IdeaMaker? If so, does it do the same thing? I have never used S3D but something you wrote makes me wonder...... When I start a print with the settings I have used on all of my Simplify3D profiles (ex: Extrusion rate: 1.00 Extrusion width: Auto ) the extrusion width is 0.38mm. U...

Re: Ethernet connection to N1 printer.

If you have the latest firmware there is a wrench in the bottom right corner of the Ethernet settings screen. That give you the options for the Ethernet. See “Added Auto Negotiation, Port Speed, Duplex Mode as advanced settings for Ethernet tuning under Ethernet setting page” a bit down on the first...

Re: Ethernet connection to N1 printer.

How was your speeds before? It seemed common for the Ethernet to connect but not be working very well, just ok. There has been an advanced configuration setting added in the Ethernet settings so that you can slowdown the Ethernet which will actually speed up the Ethernet since the Processor in the t...

Re: PETG and what brands

For transparent I have only used eSun, and that has performed well as long as I don't print too fast. I have printed a LOT of black PETG and was favoring Hatchbox over eSun, but needed to look for an alternative due to supply issues. Hatchbox would be out of stock for weeks at a time. After testing...

Re: N-Series Hot End Silicon Socks

WOW! That's crazy to charge $60 for a sheet of BuildTak. I just purchased one on 7/3/18 and it was $34.99! That's just a crazy price increase.

I also thought it was interesting that BuildTak (directly) only sells the FlexPlate system in that size but not the individual BuildTak sheets. :?

Re: Truing the bed

I am sure there are other post's about this issue. I have an N2 which I have been fighting with truing the bed. I have tried loosening everything to find a good point to start truing, but every time I raise up the sides, the center point goes up a full 10/1000 of an inch. Does anyone have any advis...

We broke down and just purchased a spare hotend. Even though it didn’t mention a silicone sock it did come with one. :)

Re: Shifted print

We had recently tried a few high speed prints (double defaults) to see how far we could push the printer. Well after that, our well performing printer started doing layer shifts on every single print. I dug into the machine to see what I could find and did finally resolve the issue after finding two...

Just look at the quick start guide and do the reverse of the unpacking steps.

Re: Pro 2 Plus extruder jams.

No, you got this detail incorrect. The pro 2 still uses onboard integrated drivers on the actual mainboard NOT the external drivers you are mentioning in the base for the XY and Z axis. Again, while I don't know every detail, I do know that the answer has nothing to do with changing switches on the...

Re: Pro 2 Plus extruder jams.

Ultimately raise3d needs to fix this for you if the vref is set too high. it requires a firmware update to the controller board. EDIT: The below information in italic, as pointed out by Jetguy, is INCORRECT! The off board drivers are only used for the X, Y & Z axis drives and not the extruders....

Re: Tramming/Leveling the bed

Totally agree with MDVolle about the bed modifications. I think this thread is very helpful: http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21 We first did a 5 point spring system but still had some issue. We have since moved to a 9 spring system and haven't adjusted the bed level since we first l...

Re: Tramming/Leveling the bed

When we first received our printer we checked it cold, it was perfect! Then we started printing and had all kinds of issues. We finally checked the bed when it was warm and found it was WAY OFF. So we adjusted it at 60 deg C and things were good until we started printing PETG and had the bed at 80 d...

Re: Config.xml edits overwritten

I believe that thread is only talking about custom filaments and not the program defaults. I assume at one time you couldn't delete custom options you made but now you can. I'd love to be able to edit/delete defaults too since many simple don't relate to our printer.

Re: Config.xml edits overwritten

I would believe that is his desire. I have wanted to do the same but haven’t been successful. There are default templates for other printer and even 3.00mm filaments which our N2+ can never use. These just clutter the interface and confuse some of our users since they think they are valid options. B...
