Re: Thermal-Protector - available soon to all

Built a new cable assembly, no longer ribbon, and im back in business. I’m curious..... if you didn’t use a ribbon cable may I ask what you used? I’m sure we are going to run into this issue sooner or later so it would be nice to know the options. I know JohnSays purchased the Cicoil Hi-Flex ribbon...

Re: Touch screen

From what I have read this is a VERY common issue and Raise3D apparently sells a very expensive replacement. Read more here: http://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7467&p=36444 However, if you have some mechanical / electrical skills you can get an equivalent replacement a LOT cheaper....

Re: Should we purchase new Pro2 from Raise3d or Vendor?

I am assuming you want the Raise3D for the print size and interface. Unless you absolutely need dual extruders, I would suggest the Raise3D N2 Plus from here . With the money you save you can easily add all the upgrades (Bondtech, runout sensor, camera, Buildtak Flexplate, etc). The single extruder ...

Re: Should we purchase new Pro2 from Raise3d or Vendor?

Really depends on where you are located and how the vendors respond. The reason I say this is that we contacted several vendors after I couldn’t get clear answers from Raise3D directly. One vendor failed to reply, another responded that I should contact Raise3D directly, and the last was actually ve...

Re: Touchscreen Firmware 1.0.0 Release Note 2018.8.31

I guess I'll learn more next week after the holiday but the person I spoke with in our legal department felt otherwise and suggested that I do not upgrade. He said it specifically states "any software or firmware utilized in the operation" of any printer manufactured by Raise3D. Kind of ha...

Re: Touchscreen Firmware 1.0.0 Release Note 2018.8.31

Is it just me or does this EULA contradict the open-source designation of the firmware on the N series machines? Specifically where it states "your use of any software and firmware (including all related documentation, the "Software") utilized in the operation of any printer manufactu...

Re: Bed handle snap off

I don't have a Pro2 so I can be certain but it seems as if the mounting screws are too long and therefore distorting the top surface of the handle. I assume the mounting screws come in from the bottom and thread into the two pieces mounting in the holes of the plate, shown below. http://forum.raise3...

I believe this is completely normal. Our N2+ does the same thing when homing. Both the X & Y home positions are off the plate. Never had any issues.

Re: Feature Request #1 Notifications

Have you tried the options in the Advanced Menu of the Touchscreen? I'm not sure if it does want you want (because Raise3D has failed to document the features, but that's a different topic), however you could give them a try. advanced menu.jpg I'm thinking disable "Cool Down after a print pause...

I installed the N2+ dual rev 1.1.9 last night and didn't have any issues. It also interestingly resolved my 10mm vs 1mm retraction issue as well.

Re: LIN_ADVANCE = better extrusion control

OK I think I have found my issue but don't understand why. I checked the extruder calibration and it was dead on at 415 steps. I then started to print a test pattern but cancelled it just as it started to print (that's a different story). Turns out it was good that I cancelled since that's when I no...

Re: Part Shifting Again Again and Again

It would be nice if the alignment instructions were available to all customers without needing a support ticket, since sooner or later we will all need them. It would be nice to see them in the FAQ, Getting Started or Downloads section of the Raise3D website. I have looked but unfortunately can't fi...

Is there an instruction document for this? I believe the question is "How it is done." and not "How many times it is done."

Re: LIN_ADVANCE = better extrusion control

Great info, Thx! I suspected that I might have to edit the pattern gcode somehow but wasn’t exactly sure. Also, didn’t realize that the K value would be so small either. That’s great info to know. I had done the extruder calibration with a 100mm extruded length on the stock firmware and 415 value wa...

Re: LIN_ADVANCE = better extrusion control

I have been trying to get rid of the defects shown in the 1st post for a while so this looks like exactly what we need. We have have a N2 Plus Single with a Bondtech and TMC2224 drivers so I downloaded the 1.1.9 version of N2 Plus Single pre-compiled firmware. Loaded the firmware, restarted the mach...

Re: Adaptor for Upgrade Silver Motor to Black Motor

Which motors are you talking about? Extruder or XY? We have the black version XY motors and they are Bohong 42HB48F1AB but the closest data sheet I can find is for a 42HB48F105AB which is a 1.5A motor. Based on that and other info I found, I believe the motors on our printer are 1A motors. We switch...

Re: Lots of Layer Shift N2+ Dual

Sorry I didn't check the exact temperature of the motors. When I had my issues I did a lot of different things as one time (gantry alignment, clean & lub, and driver voltage check). When I checked the drivers I had one at 0.72V and one at 0.9V, so I first dialed them both to 0.9V but while doing...
