Sad to hear that, it is not fun to loose a print after so many hours.

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder
Many have asked me if Ninjaflex works with a Bondtech extruder. And answer is yes it does. This i my first real print after calibration cube and as you can see it works quite nice indeed. I printing nice and slow at 20mm/s with 0.2 layers and hotend temp 235c. http://i.imgur.com/pSF84LQ.jpg

Re: Printer review by Thomas Sanladerer
@ sylus, Trhuster and Brad: Thanks for your response and your pictures I really appreciate that. How many shots had been necessary for those prints? Which bondtech extruders did you use for upgrading? This one: http://shop.bondtech.se/ec/upgrade-kits/full-extruder-kit-for-raise3d-n2-hybrid-rev-2.ht...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder
I'll need to do a little more reading I guess. Are you saying that I need to modify every single gcode file before it gets uploaded to the machine and that the firmware needs to get updated to change the motor voltage? No you just have to put "M92 E140" in the start g-code once. If you us...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder
If you have a single extruder upgrade is very easy to do imo. If you will use two extruders you need to splice the wire to the second stepper motor as it will be a bowden setup, other than that it is very easy. You can use Jetguys fw in the first post. Or you can use original fw and only add "...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder
I'm considering the bondtech upgrade for my N2+. After reading through most of this thread I'm a little unsure how complicated the whole thing is. I'm totally fine with the mechanical end. Is messing with the firmware also required or is the bondtech kit plug and play? If you have a single extruder...

Re: Filament monitor
I agree with you. It's just hard to replace a major part on an almost brand new machine. Am I correct in assuming that I'd need the Rev2 Extruder for a new machine? http://shop.bondtech.se/ec/upgrade-kits/full-extruder-kit-for-raise3d-n2-hybrid-rev-2.html It depends on the housing you have on your ...

Re: Filament monitor
I'm not completely opposed to the idea but I feel like I just bought a new car and now I'm being told that it will work properly if I would just buy a new engine. :) You don't have to buy a Bondtech extruder. Original extruder can work but Bondtech is just so much better. It don't take many failed ...

Re: Filament monitor
I'm struggling with daily clogged nozzles and stripped filament at the moment. I'd love to be a beta tester of the filament monitor if you're looking for one. :) I would suggest you buy a Bondtech extruder if you have extrusion problems. Best upgrade you can do with a Raise3d N1 printer imo. It jus...

Re: Adding GCode to reduce ringing
Well, you lower the acceleration in X/Y printing moves from 1000 to 600. So yes it can reduce ringing but print will be slower.

Re: Tried to print without raft, nozzle plowed into bed. What am I missing?
No. Z position is the same with or without raft. If you had the gap between the nozzle and the bed at 0.2mm when you started print without raft it is not possible to get to low. In software when using raft first layer is 0.5mm or somthing like that. When raftless it is 0.2 or 0.3 normally, depends w...

Re: Tried to print without raft, nozzle plowed into bed. What am I missing?
It is no mystery. When using raft nozzle is further away from bed so the plastic has more room to expand. You have to adjust your bed height. Use the thumbscrew on the front left side off the printbed. If you turn it anti clockwise gap between nozzle and bed will be bigger. Mabey you have to lvl you...

Re: Perforated plate for N2?
Buildtak works just fine, you just have to change it from time to time. Turning the plate and print on glass with hairspray/glue/abs-slurry also works fine. You can also buy a PEI sheet and use that instead off buildtak. I personally like to print on a PEI sheet the most. I would never ever put a pe...
