N2 Plus doing initial filament dump too high after running Cura and Simplify3D gCode

I'm trying to sell my N2 Plus, and a friend asked me to print some samples for him. The first print, using IdeaMaker, went fine, but none of the Cura or Simplify3D gCode files work. The first layer is extruded too high to adhere, and it becomes a nightmare pretty quickly. But after trying those file...

WiFi Passwords are all screwed up

I used to use a WiFi setup without passwords. I now have a new router that uses passwords. When I select the router on the N2, I am asked for a password (good), but I am only allowed to enter 4 characters (bad) and I cannot use the backspace to change the characters (bad). I have no idea how to conf...

Raise3D N2 Plus with dual Bondtech for sale

The N2 Plus is in great shape, but I no longer use it much. I replaced the extruder with a dual Bondtech, but I retained the old extruder if you want it. Two build plates (one GeckoTech, one BuildTak) plus spare parts kit (nozzles, etc). I live in northern Vermont, and boxing/shipping will be painfu...

Re: Strange surface finish on PLA print

I guess I agree. I just printed some fresh-from-the-sealed-box Poly Lite PETG, and it also printed poorly. I wonder what could be wrong with the extruder that all three materials would suffer similarly.

Re: Polycarbonate stringing and poor surface finish

@vicky@raise3d

I have an N2 and am using the settings for the N2. I am using the PC that I purchased from you. So, everything is yours (printer, filament, settings) and it is not working.

Please make constructive suggestions about how to resolve this problem.

Re: Polycarbonate stringing and poor surface finish

I do not have a Pro printer: will your settings work on a regular non-Pro printer? That is, are the settings and slicer compatible?

180 F. I live in the US, and our ovens are in Fahrenheit.

Re: Polycarbonate stringing and poor surface finish

I dried it for 4 hours in the oven at 180, but the next test print was every bit as bad as the first. Something else is going on.

Re: Strange surface finish on PLA print

If the infill was wrong, or if there was water in the filament, then all of the surfaces would have been similarly affected.

The bottom of the print is as the part is oriented in the photos.

Polycarbonate stringing and poor surface finish

I am using the standard settings for PC. Any thoughts about how to improve the prints?

Strange surface finish on PLA print

One side of this print has a very nice finish; the other side is horrible. It is not the PLA or the nozzle or the printer. I imagine that it is the slicer. Any thoughts or comments?

Do they make vacuum pumps that remove the water before it gets to the oil? I found these...

Hardened nozzles

I am considering trying some PLA with embedded carbon fiber, stainless steel, and bronze (from Proto Pasta). I understand that these filaments are more abrasive than regular PLA, so I should replace my nozzle with a hardened nozzle. Any recommendations for nozzles that will fit in an N2+?

@Rogman: I have printed with PolyFlex without a problem. I have been unable to use PVA as soluble support for PLA on the N2+.

Re: PVA (Flex Filament) and Pro2 Serie ?

I have never been able to print successfully with PVA on my N2+. If anyone else has, I would appreciate understanding how you did it. This is my main frustration with the N2+
