Support Offset
It seems with the ABS I'm using the supports are being printed too close to the object. By that I mean the offset from the support to the object. This is resulting in the support almost becoming part of the object being printed. Do I increase the offset of the support by increasing the "Vertica...

Re: skirt around grouped objects?
Good question. This really doesn't answer your post, BUT I tend to refrain from printing multiple parts. If you have a power outage, one of the parts come off the bed, or any number of reasons you need to cancel a print you essential ruin the rest of the parts losing all the time and material for sa...

Re: ABS/raft almost single part
I've actually stopped using a raft for Hatchbox ABS. That stuff sticks SO well to the buildtak/glass that I decided to stop using a raft. If I start seeing "elephant footing" then I might go back... I'll see. As a side note, once I changed my first layer height (http://forum.raise3d.com/vi...

Re: Can't print with Hatchbox ABS
After watching another print closely it appeared that the nozzle was EXTREMELY close to the print bed. As stated by zemlin, I believe it was so close it wasn't allowing the proper flow of filament. So I changed the first layer settings from 0.300 mm to 0.400 mm as shown in the image and it seems to ...

Re: Can't print with Hatchbox ABS
Thanks for both of your responses. I'll look into both of your suggestions this evening and get back with results.

Can't print with Hatchbox ABS
I printed with Hatchbox ABS a few days ago and I was able to print fine. However, as of this morning I can't print at all with Hatchbox ABS. I've did as much research of the forums as I can, but nothing seems to help. I haven't changed anything in the settings from the print a few days ago. I don't ...

ABS/raft almost single part
If this has been answered before I'll take any links available as searching for this yielded a ton of results that were irrelevant. When I print with Hatchbox ABS (the only kind of tried so far) and I use a raft, the raft is almost part of the print. What I mean by that is, it's almost impossible to...

N2 Plus E-step value
I believe in a previous post (can't find it) someone said you can set the e-step value in the actual printer instead of in Idea Maker?
This way I can install idea maker again without having to set the e-step value in it.
Anyone know where this is via the touchscreen?

Do you have a guesstimate on what the total amount of filament has been so far for this project?

Re: Project robot lawnmower
Another suggestion would be to also use a raft. I always error on the side of a raft if I think the print will come off due to bed adhesion issues and they come out great.

Great work! I always like to see people who are using their printers for engineering projects. Keep the updates coming.

Re: Looking for a printer, should we buy a new Pro2, new N2 or a used N2?
It really all depends on WHAT you plan to use the machine for. Are you a prototyping shop? Are you an enthusiast? Do you need to print with any filament or will PLA work? A lot of questions to better help us. The closed firmware hasn't been an issue for us. Do you really intend on making any changes...

Late response, but yep... a little more force. It's definitely uncomfortable to do because it seems it always ends up bad when you strong arm things.

Re: Just Released N2 Pro
And damn it looks nice!!! Some folks on the forum wondered with the recent reduced price in the N2 Plus if there was a new model coming out. The one saving grace for those of us who just bought recently is that there is a substantial price increase for the same build volume. It would have really stu...

Re: Red Cobra Hydro dipped 3d Printed Roktopus
It is commercially available, but very simple to do on your own. All you need a container that’s large enough to hold water to dip it in, the film and activator. All easily available on the web. The part needs to be able to be submersed in water. It’s well defined across the industry so only new and...

Red Cobra Hydro dipped 3d Printed Roktopus
I wanted something to start working with and testing my hydro dipping so I printed out a Roktopus and dipped it. If I would have dipped it at a slightly different angle it would have gotten the inside of his hand and I accidentally tapped the crown of his head on the bottom of the tank. Came out oka...
