Re: X axis rod bearing moved

Thanks for the quick response. I don't think there is a set screw on that bearing. I have added a photo now. It's the bearing right in the end of the rod that sits in the frame of the printer. Not sure what is meant to keep that bearing in the frame. Cheers

X axis rod bearing moved

Hi All The bearing in the frame of my N2 plus for the X axis rod ( front left side) came out of the housing. Not sure why or even how. I have put the bearing back in place but the rod now moves easily left to right. Not sure what was keeping the rod constrained, is it just the tension of the belts? ...

Re: 300mm z limit

Hi Jetguy Thanks for the quick response. I did think of that as as well so I reflashed the firmware for both the motion control and raise touch before posting last time. Same issue. My test method is to home the z then press the z jog button 35 times (I was lazy) and it once again stops at 305 mm (a...

Re: 300mm z limit

Hi Vicky and Jetguy, Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. Sorry for the late response. Just to confirm - both firmware - motion control and Raise Touch are the current versions listed on the download page. Machine tab states the machine is Raise3d N2 Plus. No filament run out sensor to worry abou...

300mm z limit

Hi All, I have a a weird issue with my N2 Plus Dual not printing anything larger than 305mm. Every time a print gets to this point the build plate simply stops lowering. I can manually move the build plate down further. If I home the build plate and tell it to lower to 320 it will stop at 305. Almos...

Re: Layer Shift after pause

Thanks Vicky, Lubrication is definitely not the issue. Not sure why the rods would go out of alignment with a change out of the head. Does that mean raise a support ticket? cheers Kerry

Re: Layer Shift after pause

Hi Vicky no I haven't tried going back, do you recommend doing that. One thing that I have noticed and not sure it it has any bearing is that the head when parked at the home position is not easy to move from that position, certainly puts up more resistance than it used to do. It homes fine and does...

Re: Layer Shift after pause

Hi Vicky, issue only started after updating the frimware, previous version was 1.1.1 , i never bothered updating the firmware as it was printing fine. Issue happens on all models (tried probably 10 so far) and all slicers tried so far.

Re: Layer Shift after pause

Hi Jetguy, Thanks for the great response. I had actually seen your responses on other layer shift issues and understand the issue with the 1.1.1 firmware etc. Just to confirm yes all firmware is up to date i.e 0.9.11 for Raisetouch and 1.1.16 Rev1 for Marlin motion control. The layer shift I am expe...

Re: Layer Shift after pause

Hi Vicky, yes I don't actually have to change the filament, any pause and resume creates the same issue. Everything is lubricated and it doesn't have any thing clashing with the head. cheers Kerry

Layer Shift after pause

Hi All, I recently updated my N2 Plus to the bondtech extruders and also updated all the firmware etc. So as at 12/08/18 I am running the current settings. But ever since changing, every time I pause, change filament and resume prints the layer shifts on the y axis. Never had a problem on the old st...

Re: Removing extruder

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. It has have a few weeks of soaking and also heating up to try and budge it - no luck unfortunately. Will see if I can get a larger Allen key to fit in - I have tried Torque type drill bits, and various other types. I think your idea of cutting the head off mig...

Removing extruder

Hi All, When I first purchased my N2 Plus I also bought the bondtech upgrade but have not been able to change over the extruder because the allen head screw on the right hand side that holds the extruder assembly to the block was over tightened at the factory resulting in a stripped out head of the ...
