Re: Layer splitting
Too me it looks as if you are printing with a nozzle temp a little too high. a nozzle strike or extruder skip can cause this. here is a good site to check out https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/

new updates
I have the Pro2 attached (binded) to cloud services and after installing the new updates (firmware 0.0.66 and RaiseTouch 1.1.0.1021) the printer is no longer "bound" to the cloud services. do i have to go back to RaiseTouch 0.9.12.822?

Re: Pro2 Plus Question
Do you mean the glass from the N2 series? if so, then yes. The glass i have on the one in the picture is one of a few back up plates i have for my N2+, sourced from a local glass company but cut to fit the N2+.

Re: Pro2 Plus Question
yes, but not on top of the BuildTak. i normally do not use BuildTak and remove it. i have 2 build plates for easy swapping at busy times. The printer is in use so i was taking a picture of my 2nd plate. so easy answer is, you would need to remove the BuildTak from original plate or order a second bu...

Re: Pro2 Plus Question
Without the silicone the glass would slide around, so not without clipping the glass to the bed somehow. here is a picture of my set-up. i washed off the elmers purple glue stick.

Re: Pro2 Plus Question
you can, i bought a second removable plate and put this on it https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-400mm-Silicone-Thermal-Heatsink/dp/B007PPEW52 then place glass on the thermal pad. the high coefficient of friction that the silicone has means the glass will not have to be clipped down. there is another thr...

Re: Can a Glass Bed be added to the Pro Series
the pads do two things. they transfer the heat from the metal bed to the glass and silicone has a high coefficient of friction (with glass its over 1) so it holds the glass in place without the need for clamps. i will still try and get a picture on here for you. i just wont be back in the shop until...

Re: Can a Glass Bed be added to the Pro Series
i bought a second build plate (or just remove BuildTak from your original) and use silicon thermal pads and placed glass on it. works well! i will try and post a picture tomorrow. https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-400mm-Silicone-Thermal-Heatsink/dp/B007PPEW52

Re: Amazed at the quality of the Pro2!!
That is great!! i have had the same success with all three of my printers (N2, N2+, and Pro2). I would recommend this printer to anyone looking. I just had a couple rolls of PVA come in and will be trying it next week. I will try and remember to snap some pics. Happy continued 3D printing, KS_Husker!!

Re: Filament Stepper Motors very hot - even when not printing with nozzle
is this with PLA? PLA has a very low "glass transition" temperature and should be used with the top off and the door open. here is a link to a lid prop set up that will make opening the lid a bit easier. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1324935 i hope this helps and you are back to printi...

Re: Struder feeder gets blocked
CV-Gate, have you replaced the nozzle? if it was printing fine for sometime and now all of a sudden it jams all the time, it is most likely a damaged nozzle. the stepper motors always tend to run hot. there are some heat sinks you can buy and attach but i never have. i have the Bondtech extruder set...

Re: Should we purchase new Pro2 from Raise3d or Vendor?
i have 3 Raise3d printers, i have the N2, N2+, and a pro2 to go along with all of the other printers we have. Every printer we have whether its a Raise3d, Rostock, Makerbot, Ultimaker, or Stratasys we have made some upgrade to the machine (i like to tinker :geek: ). I have been printing on the pro2 ...

Re: Shiny New Build Plates
i believe that is just a replacement BuildTak sheet and not the actual metal removable plate. I have been waiting for the build plate to come out. i want one or two without the BuildTak so i can install a silicon thermal pad and glass plate.

Re: N2 Junk
i was starting at the most obvious. i have had multiple drivers fail building machines. they are cheap and crappy. since you have NO social skills and obviously no mechanical skills... sell it!
