Re: firmware development group

I have questions... Is the actual uncompiled Raise3D code available to us? I assume not. As we work on the hybrid firmware, does or will Raise3D assist? Is v1.1.6-rev1 the only hybrid thread or are there others? Is there a group outside this forum? I have been reading through the forums, learning wh...

Re: X-Y ALIGNMENT AND LOOSE BELT CORRECTION

Vicky
Is this info available yet?
My right side belt on my N2 is a little loose and beginning to squeak. I would love to see the proper procedure, before doing it myself.
Thanks!

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

Firesped,
OK, now I understand your issue!
In that case, a water cooling system would be the least expensive method. Like a PC cooling system.

But the issue that Flexrc and LogicEthos are experiencing seems stepper related.

Re: Printer Filament Monitor

Hey guys, The Raise3D has a battery backup recovery, why not have a mechanical sensor that kicks out a contractor when no filament is sensed, that kills power to the printer. This way when you replace the filament you can simply turn the machine back on and recover your print. This requires no softw...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

Firesped / Flexrc, I am having a hard time understanding why your motors are running so much hotter than mine. Would it not be easier to spec out another motor, than go through the trouble of adding a water block, reservoir and pump. Maybe a higher torque model, (see link below for Minebea Nema 17 l...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

I am new at this, but my bondtech stepper driver is also set to .6v, I did a 12 hour run with ABS last night without an issue. In fact my stepper remained relatively cool as steppers go (I could touch it). I will attach a TC to it next run and monitor temp. So it seems to me Trhuster is correct. Alt...

Re: Project Bondtech Extruder

Firesped,
I have a machine shop, with a 4 axis Milltronics CNC, if you send me the drawing I will give it a look. Best approach will be to print it first for sizing, then we can machine it out of aluminum.

Re: Camera suggestions?

Jetguy, I predicted you would answer this! I told my wife as I was writing it, that someone, probably you, would caution me on using such a foolish method. I almost edited that line out, but then I figured I would leave it. Rest assured that I will not put my N2 outside my firewall. But I did consid...

Re: Camera suggestions?

Phife, Thanks for the info, I use GoToMeeting often now and was considering using it, but I am intrigued by Teamviewer and will look into it. My first thought was to set up a VPN, or put the N2 IP DMZ so I can access it from anywhere. I do not now have a computer dedicated to the printer, I may setu...

Re: Camera suggestions?

Xygote / Phife,

Just received my ProHD, works great!
Setup was easy, focus was easy (as you stated Phife), video and snap shots are great...
Can't wait to setup a nice long print.
Next step connecting to the N2 remotely (Thru the web), this way I can watch and if necessary pause a print remotely.

Re: Camera suggestions?

Jetguy, Thank you for the lesson! I searched the forum for "camera" before asking, none of posts listed answered my questions. I know little to nothing about the PCDuino, and just learned from your reply that it is the embedded Linux machine in the N2 I have heard about. I do have a bit of...

Re: Camera suggestions?

Thanks, Zettlinger
That's what I figured, I am looking at a few IP cams which rotate, tilt and zoom.
It would be great if Raise could add some webcam functionality to that Linux computer sitting behind the touchscreen.

Camera suggestions?

Hey Guys and Gals, Got my N2 up and running, starting to do some longer prints would love to hear some suggestions on Camera's... Ideally, I would able to view the camera video live along with the remote printer screen through my VPN remotely. I would also at the same time like to capture the video....

Adding a second extruder?

Can a second extruder be added to an N2 single?
If so what is the cost?
Thanks
