Re: Completed Cosplay Mortal Kombat Scorpion Armor
First official fit test since finishing the armor. Gotta find a better way to keep the shoulder armor attached but overall everything fits good.

The prints were then sanded, primed and finally airbrushed and hand painted with Acrylics. A clear coat was applied t...

Re: Life Size Apocalypse Bust
Hello fellow Raisers, Here's an update on my 3d Printed Apocalypse Bust printed on my Raise 3D N2+. I used Z-brush for the modeling and creation of the 3d Print files. Did quiet a bit of finishing work to the bust and I'm really happy how it turned out. Next step is to finish printing the neck armor...

Re: Life Size Apocalypse Bust
Thanks Rob, Yea getting the hang of it, I had some peers use XTC3d and told me they tried the brush on technique you mentioned with some success. My mistake was that this piece was basically my first true prepping experience. Would have been good to experiment with smaller prints but I jumped in hea...

Re: Mortal Kombat Scorpion Mask & Amor
Got some gluing and sanding done this weekend. Trying to balance out the sanding between getting rid of the print lines but keeping the surface details. 35514083_607029686349257_3620194978514337792_o.jpg 35487985_607029599682599_2279839851274567680_o.jpg 35465370_607029633015929_8321230782148378624_...

The propmaker's approach to this kind of thing would be to print it in something like PLA, make a mold, and cast it (the strap-like bits might get sewn and distressed). I don't know where you're located, but in Los Angeles, Reynold's Advanced Materials could talk you through molding/demolding and r...

Re: Mortal Kombat Scorpion Mask & Amor
I would really like to actually build the black scaled body suit that he has. Would this be possible to do in a flexible material, especially the neck part as it will need to bend. I'm open to suggestions. I could also create a cast and mold it with some type of rubber, so that another option I coul...
