Re: Layer separation
The problem appears to be from the gear wheel that pulls down the filament into the extruder. Occasionally the gear clicks as it works, as it does does so it skips, jumps slightly as if there is an obstruction. I have just replaced the PTFE tube as well the complete extruder assembly. The filament i...

Re: strange clicking sound while extruder moves
I have noticed similar clicking sound and identified that it is coming from the gear wheel. Occasionally the gear wheel as it pulls down the filament, it will skip but not all the time. Solution please as it results in under extrusion?

Layer separation
Hello guys, Please see attached image and note the layer separation on the model. I am using brand new Filamentum Gold Happens PLA, printing at 205°C at a speed of 50mm/sec on a HBD of 50°C and 200 microns. My printer is an N2 fitted with 0.4 nozzle. This problem developed after about 30 hours of pr...

Left or Right Nozzle
Hello Guys,
I have been using my N2 double extruder as a single extruder for about 3 years with no problems at all but I want to switch from Left to Right, just to balance up the wear if any, on my motors and what have you.
Do I just extrude through the right and go from there?
Thanks

Re: Inconsistent extrusion of outside surface
Thanks Jetguy,
The detailed response, explanation is noted.
I am using a Regular Raise3d factory V2 which is apparently not up to the Job
What hotend system- Raise3D factory V2 or an E3D heatsink and adapter system?

Inconsistent extrusion of outside surface
Vase 1.jpg Vase 2.jpg Vase 3.jpg I have attached images of a vase printed using High Temperature PLA(HTPLA Proto Pasta) at 25mm/sec, 0.6 nozzle and 200microns. The first trial is more or less OK which is the Vase 1, that was default setting on Ideamaker but the top was underextruded so I changed th...

Build Plate size
Hello Guys,
I use an N2 with a 305 x 305mm build plate size but I have a model size 304.8 x 303.27 x 40mm and IDEAMAKER will just NOT accommodate the model.
Any realistic tweaks I can make, anyone?
Please don't tell me to go find a 500 x 500mm build plate printer, thats plan B.
Thanks

PRINTER NOT BOOTING UP! ERROR CODE, NOT RESTARTING!
Hello and Happy New Year Raisers! Well, I do hope you all have a Happy New Year because my N2 has started the year with a challenge! I powered on and was faced with this ERROR WARNING prompting a restart. Attempted restart but it made no difference because after going through the process of restarti...

Hi Eldrick, photo please. Your suggestion appears contrary to arrangements in above images which would appear to be the most expedient way to go?

Re: Overlapping Print
Understood. As to duplicating failure in IDEAMAKER can offer nothing more than to say each time i duplicated an object, generally small items with detail(say 30 x 100mm key tag), the replica is marred, period. So I rather duplicate or multiply in the CAD and then import! Give it a go, maybe my setti...

Re: Overlapping Print
Hi Zemlin, The problem is that this "skipping" as you call it, only happens with multiple prints, not single prints. What is more is that it is a recent mishap, so I wonder if the gcode has gone rogue? The major challenges that I have had with my N2 revolve around multiple prints: First th...

Re: Overlapping Print
Thanks. All the parts are perfectly level, well glued down. There is an idle nozzle but from past experience it is deliberately fixed higher than the primary nozzle and does not interfere with prints - not calibrated for dual extrusion. Mind you I have done several multiple prints like this in the p...

Re: Overlapping Print
Thanks.
I am not using retraction at all, besides, this problem only began at a certain height, after 44.5% of the print, why not from the very beginning?

Overlapping Print
Hello Raisers, Can anyone explain this mishap? Picture shows ten tags being printed, (Five in focus), but note that at a point printer begins to overlap the prints from left to right. Instead of continuing to print directly on to the tag as it had been doing for a couple of hours, for some strange r...
