Re: Cold Boot - Unused Extruder Heating Up

Many thanks for your reply and information Vicky. Surely initial heating of both nozzles is unnecessary? I understand that there is no closed-loop between your controller and initial nozzle activation and the sequence must be established but for a £5k+ printer to have to manually manipulate it ever...

Re: Questioning Pro2 Product Quality - Ongoing Issues

I just found out that my printer needs a new extruder board and motion controller board. Another $470 and it is still within the year that I purchased the machine but they only warranty things that actually may fail for 90 days so neither are covered. NICE!!! I have to say I am very disappointed. T...

Re: Questioning Pro2 Product Quality - Ongoing Issues

Well, as a senior career engineer, I have not worked for $20 in a very long time. I also work for myself, started life as a country kid, and grew up fixing what was broken. Given the complete lack of local technical support and the great distances involved to ship it, I either had to "fix"...

Re: Questioning Pro2 Product Quality - Ongoing Issues

Having read through this thread I guess I can consider myself "lucky" as I have only experienced some of the issues noted. I will not relist the issues, only the solutions I have implemented. 1). Convert the hotends to water cooling. The stock heat sinks are a joke and a fundamental desig...

Re: Questioning Pro2 Product Quality - Ongoing Issues

I can agree on almost everything. While I'm not happy at all right now and I'm even unhappier when considering that some of the issues are just firmware/software related because those could have been fixes ages ago already. - When dual extruder is being used I have temperature spikes of 50-80 °C ove...

Re: Questioning Pro2 Product Quality - Ongoing Issues

I will most probably have to send the printer back for support. Also I'm still waiting for fixes that might not even ever be available due to design flaws. Made me waste more than 1 hour changing the ribbon cable when I clearly stated that my issues looked software or firmware related and in fact no...

Slow Heating Bed

Hello, is there a way to speed up the heating ramp of the bed? While I understand that the bed is big and dissipates a lot through irradiation, conduction and convection, I don't think it is normal nor acceptable that it can take up to 30+ minutes to reach 100-110°C. Especially if we consider that t...

Re: WiFi connection with username/password

:!: :!: :!: This is now solved and THERE IS NO SOLUTION unfortunately. :!: :!: :!: As I was suspecting the printer supports only WPA/WPA2 and WEP authentication protocols. No support for any other common authentication protocol like MSCHAP or PEAP due to wireless chip limitations. This is honestly q...

Re: WiFi connection with username/password

(I had a shutdown during the answer so this may be a duplicate post) Nope I mean that I need to input a username and a password after connecting to the SSID. This should also be the case for very large networks and in fact I'm working at the university. We all have a personal username and a personal...

Re: WiFi connection with username/password

Nope, I mean username and password.

Some security protocols may ask for a username and password after connecting to the SSID. I think this might be the case for large and very large networks since I'm working at the university. Everyone of us has a different username and also a different password.

WiFi connection with username/password

Hello guys,

is there the possibility to connect the printer to WiFi networks requiring both a username and a password? Like PEAP or similar.
Because right now I couldn't figure out how to do that and It would be way easier for me to get the WiFi working than switching to ethernet.
