Thanks JG, I'm going to strengthen that corner in the same manner you did. Great write up.

Re: Add a second LED strip to my N1

Thanks Brian... I might order a set. This week, I'm sort of busy at work and my new N2 + is arriving Thursday, so I might be pre-occupied for a few days before getting back to the N1! :) In any case, thanks for the response.

Hi Vickie,

Yes, I'd like to update my printing settings to be the default set and start clean.

N1 Table Resonance

Wondering if anyone else has any problems with the N1 table flexibility when printing taller models. I love this printer, but I'm learning to print towards the back of the table as much as possible, especially on taller models. The attached shows a allen wrench holder I attempted to print, laid our ...

Re: Extrusion or something else?

I'm SLOWLY learning to recognize blocked or partially blocked hot ends and how to clear 'em without a tear down. Often, I can heat the hotend to 235; reverse and forward the filament once or twice and it clears. For the most part, the R3D N1 seems to work reliably, except when I tried the Matterhack...

Re: Add a second LED strip to my N1

Simply tip the N1 on it's side, unbolt the 4 bolts holding the large plastic cover on the bottom of the printer and remove that cover. Then remove the four M3 ( I believe) holding the MCB cover one left side and your there. They're all allen heads. BTW, I'm interested doing the same mod, so I'd like...

How to Replace original R3D Filament Profiles?

So is there a way to download the original filament profiles for the N1 and reload them into IdeaMaker?

Thanks in advance

Extrusion or something else?

I just changed to a BondTech for my N1. I've been having some problems with Matterhackers PLA and switched back to R3D. I was running at 215C and this machine has always put down a very smooth layer. Today, I got the BondTech going. Set the E steps as instructed; set the stepper V to .5V as instruct...

Re: N2 Plus Wanted

Billucas,

From West Palm Beach.... but I found one this week. Left over N2+ that was returned because the customer wanted a dual head and it's a single. I bought and it will be here in a week.

Thanks for the response.

Correct Settings for MatterHackers Pro PLA?

I just spent the last ten days and I don't know how many hours thinking I had a major problem with my N1, when it appears it was simply because I switched from R3D PLA to MH's and still don't know the secret to making that work! I have successfully been printing with R3D PLA at 215 C for Months. Not...

Re: Lack of Timely Tech Support -- OFFER TO PAY FOR HELP!

@Vickie... THANK YOU SO MUCH! Stephen from tech support contacted me about 2PM EST. I called him back at 5PM EST when I could be at home by the machine and within 5 minutes, we had the machine running on the left nozzle. After a couple suggestions and finding that I had accidentally loaded Single no...

Re: Lack of Timely Tech Support -- OFFER TO PAY FOR HELP!

@Vicky, Thanks for the response. I've phoned tech support several times over the last month and specifically ask for a video call at least once. Sam T is handling this ticket. He writes a few sentences, asks me to do this or that, then I might not get a response for 2 or 3 days. EXTREMELY SLOW proce...

Lack of Timely Tech Support -- OFFER TO PAY FOR HELP!

I am extremely disappointed that it has take over a month and I still don't have my N1 with about 20 hours on it running again. R3D's actual hardware support is dismal at best -- essentially an email exchange of photos and hints that has proven unsuccessful at solving my problem. Meanwhile my machin...

Help Non Responsive Nozzle Temps!

Ok... So I had a thermal run away and after 4 weeks of emails back and forth, R3D finally sent me a new ribbon cable as I had guessed would be necessary from reading on this forum and doing my own switch outs. In the interim I had changed out TC's and the heater rods. The machine is an N1, btw, with...

Re: Questions About Thermal RunAway

Hey Guys, Thanks for your input. Right now, I just want a fix and get my machine back up. My thermal protector board arrived today. I will install that tonight and crank up the machine. I'm suspecting that since I got a thermal runaway even after I switched TC's between the two heads, I may have a c...

Questions About Thermal RunAway

So I experienced my first thermal run away on my N1 last week and I have some questions.... 1. The machine stopped the print about 4 hours into an 8 hour print and displayed an error message. I contacted R3D and filed a ticket. We're trouble shooting the problem with a tech long distance, email by e...

Left Extruder Thermal Runaway

I have an N1, probably 20 hours on the machine. Only using my left extruder, but had a thermal runaway and machine stoppage last week. When I restarted the machine, the left nozzle temperature climbed past my setting of 215C to 247C at which point I shut the machine down. I Have now switched the TC ...
