Re: Idea Maker slicing putting in bridging that is not needed

Would you like share to .data file with us? Cant find bridging structure from teh sliced file. Image_20220112185053.png My mistake on the similar colors then. So this orange shade is "solid fill". It does one thin (nearly see thru) pass/layer and continues on as normal. That being the cas...

Re: Print zits

I had this happening on my prints, the models are different than the one in your photo but this took care of the problem for me.

In the slicing "edit" page, choose "Other" and uncheck "Check Thin Wall".

Hope it helps.

Idea Maker slicing putting in bridging that is not needed

I print mainly samples of parts that will be extruded vinyl when produced from the factory. I have printed hundreds of extrusions and the slicing program has never before put bridging in the hollows of the extrusions. The last two prints I have run through the slicing program have bridging. These ju...

Re: What is the cause of these anomalies ?

Would you like to share the .idea and .gcode files with us so that we can check the structures on the model? Should be some fine feature around those areas. You can try disable Check Thin Wall under Other tab and see whether there is any difference or not. Thank you. I re-ran the slice and preview ...

What is the cause of these anomalies ?

What Causes This.jpg We get these "bumps" in our prints. We are printing "extrusions" (the same shape from bottom to top). Of course these bumps are not on my models (STP files generated in AutoDesk Inventor) but do show up when doing a slice preview in IdeaMaker. Is there a set...

Re: Pricise mating of solids in IdeaMaker ?

If you can, in the assembly of both models in your CAD program of choice, suppress the one model and save the assembly as one file, then un-suppress the second part and suppress the first part and save as a second STL. This makes both parts using the common origin of the assembly and when you impor...

Pricise mating of solids in IdeaMaker ?

I have a model that is comprised of two solids, one being a thin "skin" 0.4mm thick, with a substrate that is 1.4mm. I created the model in Inventor and if I write the entire model (both solids) out as a STL and import it into IdeaMaker, it comes in as one solid. So I write the skin and th...
