Re: Why is there 2 different places to set nozzle diamiter?

Yes, The Extrusion width is the one I have issues with. It is under the advanced for the template under extruder. It should be one or the other. Having a program that can have contradicting settings does not make for an easy experience. Isnt extrusion width and nozzle diameter the same thing?

Why is there 2 different places to set nozzle diamiter?

Was messing around with 3.4.0 Beta Ideamaker software and ran in to a slight issue. When I went to slice it said I had conflicting nozzle diamiters. I double checked in everywhere I knew to check and found 2 different places to set nozzle diamiter and verified they were the same (0.8), but it kept g...

Re: How do I disassemble the hot end WITHOUT snapping the throat in 2?

I have had great success with removing the nozzles by just heating them up first while they are in the printer. I heat it up to 100-200C and then they come off real easy. I always use a nut driver ( looks like a screw driver) and never a socket wrench or anything that would cause too much torque. Al...

Re: Model out of range

I posted on this problem a couple of weeks ago. Have a fix for you. Rotate the model the way you want it. Up at the top hit model->Reset Model Position. This will reset the bounding box.

Re: Yet another spring leveled bed

Finally got all my parts. Starting this mod. Started printing with ePC and I love this stuff. Sticks perfectly on GeckoTek HT plate at 110C. Used the settings from above: Made all the faster speeds 30mm/s and the slower ones 20mm/s and prints like a dream. Also, I have the white eSun ePC. Don't know...

Another option is a GeckoTek build plate. Its metal and has an embedded "sticky" surface.

Re: Guide tube is too narrow

I only use guide tubes and have had no problems. When I didn't, the filament would get stuck very often. Given, mine did not come with guide tubes, I got them off amazon.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CUPV9KC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Re: What is the "leveling block?

OHHHH, That's what its for. I thought it was to make sure both the hot ends were the same height. I'll have to make me a couple of those after my week long massive print completes. (its a wall mounted tp holder, a remake of https://www.amazon.com/Lyon-Beton-DB-09104-Toilet-Holder/dp/B012IYRJD6/ref=s...

Idea Maker 2.3.0 minor model placement issue.

In the previous version it did not do this. When you have a model that is wider that the build plate but will fit diagonally if it is rotated. When you rotate it the "bounds brackets" move with the model and the model wont sit within the bounds of the build plate. The quick fix I found for...

Shipping still is bad on Raise3d Filament.

Shipping is way to much still. Went to order 8 rolls and the shipping was about $60. Cancelled order. Even at 25% off it was more than each roll with shipping. I can get great filament for cheaper elsewhere with free shipping (ETC: Amazon, Monoprice, Makergeeks...). Why do I only have 1 choice in sh...

Re: Camera suggestions?

I own one of the amcrest prohd ptz cameras. It is not really good for monitoring prints. its focus range is meant for mid to far range viewing. Anything less than a couple feet is pretty blurry. There are also a host of other problems with the camera that don't make it a good choice, but the focus i...

Re: Geckotek build plate.

Well so far I'd have to say I'm in love with the GeckoTek surface for printing ABS. I attached mine to a sheet of glass with doublesided adhesive sheet to keep to flat. I still need to use discs on the corners but these are the least warped prints I have gotten with ABS. So far I have not had any i...

I have tried to print that thing twice and failed both times. Once with ABS, to much shrinkage, nozzle strike. And once with Makergeek Raptor PLA, Hit nozzle in the middle and shifted print.

Re: Geckotek build plate.

I have worked closely with GeckoTek int he past on other projects and am in touch with them now about a mag base for the N2 plus. If R3D could provide the mounting geometry, that would be awesome, if not, I have volunteered to RE my unit so we can make a nice set up. That is awesome. I like these p...
