Re: How is called the dump filament "ball"

Are you asking about the "wipe line" just before the printer starts your print? Or are you referring to an older machine? I have an N1 that seems to try to make a ball and then wipe it on the side of the print plate before it starts. Sometimes it works pretty good and the ball kind of drop...

Re: Pro 3 problems

Some of us have been yelling from the rooftops, and have been for over a year, and yet people keep buying them. Hell, there's posts from around 2017 or 2018 here warning people how Raise does business, but I didn't see them until after I bought one... Search Pro 3 here, Reddit, Facebook and you'll f...

Sometimes they’ll reply here…but usually it inevitably results in having to engage with the them using the ticket system. You can also attempt to call.

Re: Could use some help with Carbon Fiber

I use my Pro2 Plus for CF and GF work all the time and it works well. In my opinion it needs no mods or upgrades to be a workhorse. I print at 300C for days on end with some of the trickiest materials and it just keeps going. I think you have an issue which needs to be found and fixed and I bet it ...

Re: HFFF calibration cannot find print file error 4001

Hello Milsome. You’ll have to contact support for the link to the necessary hot fix. I believe it’s tied to users who are using .6 nozzles and then try to upgrade to Hyper with its .4 nozzles. There aren’t any .6 profiles for Hyper so it becomes a dead end. *For any future readers that may see this ...

Arc Overhang

Yet again, the industry has a challenge, the community (or a genius within it) comes up with a solution. This one could be a serious game changer, so I'll ask; how many years to get his implemented into IdeaMaker?

Re: Pro3 printing quality (Ringing or ghosting, rippling)

Well.... these printers aren't core XY, and I doubt that these are problems from the printers themselves, it is the slicing as the Slicers doesnt use G2/G3 GCode Commands. So every curve is just an adding up on short lines, where evertime the printer gets a new command for each segment, also the ex...

Re: Pro3 printing quality (Ringing or ghosting, rippling)

Sadly, yes. If your biggest concern is surface quality devoid of ghosting or ringing, you might try another printer design. Even the Ultimaker S5 suffers the effect…unless it’s slowed to a painful speed. Even Bambu’s golden child reports similar issues. Again, all essentially corexy. They all have t...

It was that support staff to which I was referring. I’m well aware “Vicky” is Chinese. Manuel, who also has a firm grasp of Ideamaker and has been posting on the forums is here in the US. Mike is here in the US as well. I do agree there are a few decent YouTube channels on Ideamaker, but I also unde...

You should reach out to support and see if anyone on the team wants to make some side cash. Seems like they would be the best source for you, and to their credit, they put up with us, so yeah:-).

Re: Pro3 printing quality (Ringing or ghosting, rippling)

Hello. I know your pain. The issue goes back as far as Raise. Customer support has little constructive advice besides “slow down”. From what I can gather it’s an issue inherent in the design of any coreXY printer. This seems to come up nearly bi-weekly lately so a quick search for “ringing” and “gho...

Re: Problems with the second extruder

well... we got ours end of january so... keep an eye on that... problems started after the 3rd or 4th dual color print. You can already see if there is a problem if you remove the cover between the two extruders (the one with only one screw and the Raise Logo) and have a look if the slider is going...

Re: x axis disassembly instructions

This is one of my fears for my Pro3. These machines are not designed for maintenance or repair. Take a look at your drive belts. They’re one piece. There’s zero way to tighten them. Support doesn’t recommend cutting them shorter to tighten and has no guidance on how to do so otherwise. I don’t know ...

Re: Where to hire someone for my simple 3D design and print project?

Well, there’s tons of designers available on just about any side hustle website/app out there. Upwork, fiverr, etc. there’s also a sub stack on Reddit “print my thing” or something like that. Lastly, I don’t know where you’re at, but there’s always local resources from sites like craigslist, offer u...

Re: When can we expect Klipper like Input Shaper on our E2 firmwares? :)

Even with the Hyper Kit/Klipper I see no depreciable improvement in ringing. This has been well documented since the beginning of Raise3d on these forums. It appears to be a deficiency in the basic design of printers of this type (corexy). Search ringing and you’ll find posts as far back as 2017/201...

Re: View Model in Semi Transparent

There’s an option under the model tab I believe, called Cut Away. You can select the orientation of the “cut” plane and the drag it to and fro to see what’s going on inside the model (prior to slicing).

Hope this helps.
