Re: Nozzle Switching During Print

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried every keyword when searching, except jumping. That is exactly the right description. I will try to find a short, but so far I have not. Will try to disconnect, clean and reconnect. Damn this printer.

Re: Issues with the Pro2 Series

Do not buy a Raise3D. Unless you like being frustrated and enjoy working on a $6000 dollar printer daily. You can spend much less and get a better value.

Re: Questioning Pro2 Product Quality - Ongoing Issues

Wish I could have help steer you clear. Customer Service is horrible. I bought 2 Pro2 Plus and have had nothing but problems. Parts are expensive. The 1 year warranty does not cover electronics. My control board failed within 9 months. Had to buy a replacement out of my own pocket. And it had a prob...

Re: Board error: Temperature sensor error

I had the same error and had to replace the control board. Good Luck. Replacement board works, error gone, but now the X axis will not move in the negative direction. Only positive. Waiting on Customer Service on a replacement again. The new board was a -04 revision. The old board was a -03. Not sur...

Nozzle Switching During Print

I am only using the right extruder. Nothing is programmed for the left. My Raise3d Pro2 Plus continues to stutter or change nozzle heights during a print. It acts like it is trying to lift the right nozzle to change over to the left. It only does it partially and then returns to the correct height f...

Re: Pro2 Nozzle Change

You must heat the nozzle assembly and retighten or experience a leaking nozzle body. Trust me, mine leaked from the factory and its caused many problems that have not been resolved. Broken coupling, loose belt, clogged nozzles. Still experiencing layer shifting on prints and cant use the printer.

Re: Broken Y Axis Coupling - Pro2 Plus

Here are the pictures of the coupling and location on the printer. It has 4 set screws that hold it on. 2 on each shaft(stepper motor and drive axis). I installed the replacement aluminum coupling provided by Raise3d, but have received the new stainless steel couplings in the event another one fails...

Re: Broken Y Axis Coupling - Pro2 Plus

Update. Just got a response from Samuel at Raise3d. The couplings are covered up to one year. They are shipping a replacement. Korni - The coupling is held on with 2 setscrews in the side. The stepper motor must be removed, which is held in place by 4 screws. Doesn't take very long to change. Just f...

Broken Y Axis Coupling - Pro2 Plus

Y axis coupling broke. Waiting for support to confirm if this is covered under warranty. If not, I plan to purchase direct from Misumi. They offer a stainless steel coupling that should last longer than the aluminum. Misumi Part Number: CPLS20-5-8. I just hope its the correct one. I spoke with Tech ...

Re: Startup Issues and Lack of Support

Thanks for such a thorough response Vicky. You made my point about the customer support. I purchased new heater rods and had the printer running for a few prints but now the Y axis coupling has failed. Waiting yet again for parts. Also waiting to here back from support to see if this is covered unde...

Cartridge Heater Source

Anyone know of a good source to purchase replacement cartridge heaters? Not a fan of the Raise3D supplied heater due to an immediate failure of one of mine on the Pro2 Plus printers. The connection is too brittle and any movement will result in metal fatigue and cause it to break. None of the other ...

Re: Extruder Jam and stuck fillament Pro2

I had an immediate jam on the Pro2 Plus with the Premium PLA purchased from Raised3D. Had to contact customer support for instructions on how to remove. Have not used PLA since. Feeds ABS okay, but have stopped using Raise3D filament all together. Much better brands out there that are truly "Pr...

Startup Issues and Lack of Support

Purchased 2 of the Pro2 Plus printers. First printer was unboxed and up an running without any issue in less than an hour. The second printer was a completely different story. 1) After unboxing, the printer would not home in the X axis. Called tech support and was instructed to take cover off bottom...
