Help with High Humility factor

I place this topic here because it's the most read one. I am living on a Caribbean eiland Curaçao, it's the bigger sister eiland of Aruba (better known). The average humility factor over one year is 70% and in the raining season even higher. I have to dry even PLA, but you can't dry it at 60˙because...

Re: Polycarbonate PC settings for Pro2 - raft lifting issues

Yep. If you use the 0.2 feeler gauge and the printer start his first layer (set at 0.2000), the actual nozzle hight is 0,3500 and not 0.2000.
That's the reason of the bad adhesion. I use a 0.1000 feeler gauge and set the first layer hight 0.050 lower. Sad that Raise use such a high tolerance.

Re: top layer pattern for printing gears

There is a trick to do this. In your cad drawing, you draw a circle at the lowest point and a second circle at the highest point of the teeth You extrude the openings between the teeth only 1 layer (0.2mm). Set idea maker at that layer on -concentric-. If you use carbon filament you get this nice su...

Adaptive extruder width

There is a setting of Adaptive Layer Height and I like this function. But I can't find Adaptive Extruder Width. If you have a tapper part then your chosen extruder width will leave openings in the shells. You can use 'Fill gap in shell' function, but this function is awful time consuming. Most of th...

Re: Bridging Headache

Hi Vicky, here is the file.

In group and layer settings 1, there are 6 per layer settings.
Go to setting 4 and change the shells from 4 to 8.
With 4 shells there is a bridge and with 8 shells there is a solid fill.

Re: Different layer height in one layer

Ryan, thanx for the tip. I thought that I have to readjust the right nozzle, so I was a little worried.
But those two nozzles must be already set-up perfect otherwise every dual print will be failed.

I give it a try, do a test print and see how it work out.

Bridging Headache

I like to share my experience ad Bridging. I had three parts stacked on top of each other for dual printing. The top part is a round pipe with inside a rim. For this rim a didn't need support because it was not that big of a distance. The crazy headache I get was that the slicer was not making a bri...

Different layer height in one layer

For example making a mold, you like to have a smooth surface as possible. Small layer heights will give you that, but this also give a long printing time. So I was thinking that if you have the possibility of printing the outer shell to times first and with the other extruder you print the rest one ...

Re: High Quality Low Printing Time

Maybe it's better to print only the outer shell two times and the rest one time.
example, 0.2 nozzle at 0.15 height lays two layers and this give me a 0,3 height. Then print with 0,6 nozzle at 0.3 height one layer.

My two cent.

Re: Raise3D Pro2 PETG Issues

Hi, I am quit new to 3D printing and had same issues. With PETG I learned from you tube that the retraction amount is some 5-6mm with a speed of 45mm/s. Well now I use a retraction speed of 20-25mm/s. a Retraction amount of 0.75mm. A minimum travel of 0.25mm. A minimum amount of retraction 0.02mm, a...
