Re: Rafts and supports for pure nylon

Thank you for your answer. Could you please comment on the question, what I could do to use supports with nylon.

Re: Controlling temperature of the build space by controlling the HEPA-filter fan

Seems as if some of us like Sandro have no problem with bed levelling and others like me and Steadipanda have problems, mainly due to a sag gantry. The difference might be, that people without problems use rafts and only filaments that permit to use rafts. And maybe people with problems print bigger...

Re: Controlling temperature of the build space by controlling the HEPA-filter fan

Thank you for the hints! @Sandro: Are your fans turned on when you print nylon? Do you apply any specific setting to be able to separate the raft from the object? By the way: I'm not sure if Taulman 910 is nylon. On their internet page, they compare the durability with that of nylon. Maybe I should ...

Re: Rafts and supports for pure nylon

As adhaesive I use a noname-gluestick purchased from Prusa, 3DJAKE Adhesive Spray and 3DLac Spray. All 3 work, but the gluestick gives more consistent results and can be used with the bed in place.

texture on a box only on two opposite sides

I printed a wall with texture. The texture should be on the two opposite sides of the wall, but not on the front (seen in both pictures) and not on the back. Is this possible?

Rafts and supports for pure nylon

I use a Raise3D pro2 with some mods (liquid cooling of hotend and extruder motors, stronger fans, different airflow around the motion controller board, temperature controlled fans in the PSU). The issue is that printing nylon without any added components causes strong warping. The specifications for...

Re: Upgrade Kit to Auto-Level Pro2 Printers

Hi Markus, Thanks for your reply. I also bought a second printer, a Prusa, but I didn't have time to mount it. So at the moment I'm in the middle of nowhere, the printbed doesn't adhere properly and the pieces for liquid cooling take time to arrive. I modified cooling with blowers but seems as if th...

Re: An end to jams - blowers are better...

@ocelot27: I tried this mod and had much fun because they are so perfectly designed - thank you so much!!! I had problems with the heatbed temperature. The printer says, it has 70° C. but J can easily touch it. I have made changes to the heatbed too, so the heating was not very strong before I swap ...

Re: Liquid cooling for everyone

The heat exchanges cost 70 Euros + tax and transport, if at least 4 pieces are ordered. The payment has to be in advance. Is there anybody from Europe willing to order them together with me?

Thanks a lot for this precious hint! As the parts needed for liquid cooling need some time to arrive, I try this before.

Re: Questioning Pro2 Product Quality - Ongoing Issues

hi Dirk, the second main problem with the uneven plate is more a problem of the lagging gantry because of the weight of the dual extruder. exchanging the bed is only a small step in the right direction because the lag will stay. i changed to a thicker al-plate, too, but still had more than 0.20 mm ...

Re: Questioning Pro2 Product Quality - Ongoing Issues

I'm owner of a Pro2 for 2 months now. I began with 3D-Printing 2 years ago and had several printers. My problems were: 1) Uneven printbed. At the corners, the height is about 0.15 mm lower than in the middle. The result is, that prints that are larger than 7 cm warp or the print has other problems b...

Re: Upgrade Kit to Auto-Level Pro2 Printers

Hello Markus,
how do you cope with bad adhesion due to different print-bed height?
I now use rafts for every larger print. For smaller prints I use only a small part of the bed in the left-middle part. Could I do better?

My daughter has a Prusa MK3S+ for private purpose and I bought a Raise3d pro2 for work. It's not exactly your comparison, but I recognize many of the facts gkgarrison mentioned. Maybe some additional comments: pro Prusa: -the support team answers in a chat 24/7. -There are many 3rd party extensions....

Upgrade Kit to Auto-Level Pro2 Printers

I'd very much appreciate the possibility to upgrade my Raise 3d Pro2 with an auto level function. The bed is a little uneven, so I can't print parts with a start layer of 0.1 mm height at every point of the print bed. I understand, that such a large print bed automatically has slightly different hei...

Re: incorrect Prints after one Week

Thank you for the explanation. 1. I understand that it is necessary to print PLA with the lid off. In these days it is cold outside but relatively constant temperature inside. But it is not perfectly stable, of course. 2. I manipulated the gcode for the start and for the end and the problem with the...

Re: incorrect Prints after one Week

Thank you for your reply. 1. Yes, I would like to have this g-code. 2. I will do this. Answers to your questions: 1. The PLA is from a german firm called "redline filament". Seems to be similar to other PLA filaments and gave me good results with my former printer and in my first prints. 2...

Re: incorrect Prints after one Week

Hello Steven, I have printed your gcode, thank you very much for your help. The result (see photo) seems to be imperfect in two ways: 1. when starting the print, the extruder makes a ball of filament which can cause problems later, as happened here. Can I change this? 2. the distance seems to be imp...
