Re: z probe/sensor upgrade

As upsetting as it is it did teach me 1 thing, I will never buy another 3D printer that is not on open source firmware, even if it seems to have every feature and all the bells and whistles there is new technology out on a daily basis, it's sad that printers like the Pro2 wil be out out to pasture l...

Re: Liquid cooled heat sink for the Pro2

OMG that's insane! Kind of seems like a lot of weight to add to the extruder assy, did you notice any negative affects from the additional weight? The linear rods sag as it is with it in stock form.

Re: Top surface rough with raised edges

If that 3rd picture is the bottom of the model it appears you are not printing with a raft (which I rarely ever do), to me it looks like your z-offset is too high, it appears the extrusions in the middle are a bit more squished than to the outside edges, which will always be the case if your printin...

Re: Ideamaker support generation.

Is there a way to choose the support type when using the manual support icon? the issue i have is if I want to remove support from some areas but so not want to use pillar type support, if i choose my preference in the slicer normal/grid then there is no way to remove unwanted supports in areas, yet...

Re: z probe/sensor upgrade

Raise3D does not give a damn about past customers, they failed with the Pro2 and are too arrogant to admit it. As stated above a simple fix to incorporate mesh bed leveling can be done easily by Raise3D to satisfy their existing customer base and make what is a great machine hardware wise (though th...

Re: head dragging accross work

The problem I have with "Z Hop at Retraction" is it will then hop at the end of every single line it prints during infill, even with "Avoid Retraction Inside Models" is selected. There should be an option "Z Hop Only During Travel moves".

Re: Questioning Pro2 Product Quality - Ongoing Issues

If they would just open source the firmware the community would fix a good portion of the issues, what are they trying to protect? failure?

Re: Consistent print failure due to poor layering

It's a bit odd to me that the rafts seem to print fine (from what I can see) so I would think something with the part/slicing. I've only had my Pro2 a couple months now but I have been printing with all kinds of filament with few issues, even the cheap PLA you can get on Amazon from China. I keep my...

Re: Does anyone here speak Raise?

What you call out as a skirt is a wipe wall used to purge between colors with dual extrusion. What you call out as a brim looks more like a raft. A brim will be very close to your part (like 0.1 away) and typically does attach to your part to help parts from warping (used for ABS, nylon, etc/, plast...

Re: Why is there 2 different places to set nozzle diamiter?

I had this issue as well after changing my left nozzle to a 0.6, after setting it up under printer settings. I changed the extrusion width in advanced settings and I got the error you mentioned, I found that when I changed the extrusion width in advanced settings for my left extruder it "copied...

Nice!, how does this mount to the existing extruder head? are the silver plates above the Mosquito's something you made to mount them?

Re: Can we talk about the Pro2 camera quality?

Its likely they can and know how to provide much better camera resolution for the printer, but like a lot of other companies in the tech industry they retain some of these features for the "next big release". Just wait for the $8000 Pro3 with 4k streaming, auto level, etc. etc., how else a...

Re: 4 Reasons we're waiting to buy the N2 Pro

Im in the same boat, been reading these forms for a week now (my 1st post) and was really considering the N2 Pro but after all the issues it seems to be having Im forced to look for something else. I will NEVER be satisfied with a machine in this price range where I will need to print on a raft to g...
