Re: IdeaMaker feature requests

Hi William, try Polimaker Polymax PLA can be Your solution for having a good print that minimizes stringing. I work with five different PLA (Raise, Bigrep Hi-Temp, Polymaker Terra, Polymax PLA and Colour Fab Laser Marking); I have to make samples using different PLA to see where text is print with ...

Saperusa wrote:Hi William,
what material's filament are You use for this printer? PLA?

S.

PLA, the issue occured with a Raise3D, Makerbot and RS Pro brands.
Less with Raise3D filament, its more resistant to snapping when bended, so I suspect it is more durable than the other 2.

Re: IdeaMaker feature requests

So how did you solve the issue?, from what I understand this seems to be a design flaw. What exactly are you saying is flawed with the design of the printer and/or software? There are tons of retraction settings in Ideamaker... Which ones you need to use will vary depending on the geometry of the p...

Re: IdeaMaker feature requests

Hi William, when I read Your message I think of Yesterday, I had the same problem, but I have solved them for myself. I have some text very small to print in a rectangle 50x10 mm and to minimize stringing I have increased retraction. After some minutes that Raise print text, there were some noises ...

Retractions per second limit. An option to slow retraction speed and or printing speed, to avoid too many retractions in a given period. For example if the a model is being printed that has a lot of small details resulting in a lot of retraction, then slow down the retraction and or printing speed t...

Re: IdeaMaker feature requests

The speed Gcode output from slicer is the moving speed. The acceleration and targe speed for each axis are controlled by motion board firmware. Sorry, I must have not been clear. In IdeaMaker under the "Speed" tab, the X/Y and Z movement speed when not extruding filament can be set. This ...

Re: IdeaMaker feature requests

Separate axis movement speed for raft. When not extruding filament the X/Y and Z axis travel speeds are used. However they apply to the raft layers, this can result in the first raft layer being placed at around 10mm/s then the extruder moves to the next location at the X/Y speed. As the default X\Y...

Re: Bumps on top layer next to raised section

Would you like to share the Gcode of the model you are having issues with? The defects that you are seeing on the prints are what we refer to as "pillowing" and it is typically caused from the top solid layers not having anything to build upon. Gcode and STL attached. If this was a proble...

Solid fill yes, it had little effect.

Not tried the infill density, if the material was falling in/down then that would make sense but how would it help when materials is up?

Bumps on top layer next to raised section

Printer: Raise3D Pro2 Filament: 1.75mm PLA I am not sure if this would be a problem with the printing template, software or the printer itself. When printing an object that has a raised/higher section joined to a lower section vertically, there will be bumps/piles of material near the join. Bumps1.J...

I take it that means a sleep mode would not turn them off either?

Re: Option to turn off fans and heating after print

Currently they are constantly on regardless of the extruder temperature or if filament is loaded.
In a future update can there be the option to turn them off when not in use?

Re: Option to turn off fans and heating after print

For clarification I am referring to the fan on the front of the extruder and the fan at the back of the filament area.
See the attached images.

A seperate option could be made for the filament section fan so that it does not run if the user does not want it t...

Re: Exported time-lapse video has 1 frame

Please have your firmware updated to be the latest version in our download center. That version should allow for time lapse files to be exported as a .mp4 Currently the MP4 export is only avaliable when exporting to USB. If exported over a network then the format is still MJPG. Can MP4 export be av...
