Re: End GCode Not Working

Nope - doesn't work (see below). I think that perhaps Raise3D did not implement the "R". The below waits until it gets to 60C and then completes immediately. I'll try this with M140 and dwells, but the dwell command seem to cause other issues. I'll see if I can plug it in directly and bypa...

Re: End GCode Not Working

Ah didn't realize it was based on the DUET, thanks for pointing that out. I definitely can confirm that for temps around 30/40C, M190 R does not behave as expected. I'll try temps > 40C now. And yes, understand that maybe their custom implementation is done incorrectly, or doesn't support commands f...

Re: End GCode Not Working

After posting this I tried changing it to M190 R which also didn't work properly even without and dwell commands. It would only wait for the first command and then skip all the way to the end. I basically created a gcode text file with below and then just plugged it into the machine via USB. M190 R4...

End GCode Not Working

Hi, I'm trying to have a custom script in the "End GCode" section of Ideamaker. Basically I want to control how fast the heated bed slows down. I can see these commands in the gcode after slicing - however it doesn't operate the way it's supposed to on my E2. The M190 command is supposed t...

Re: E2 flexible build plate, flexing when installed?

Better than having the steel plate warp and mess up your print half way through.

Re: E2 flexible build plate, flexing when installed?

I'm going to just waterjet a plate locally and put steel pins or magnets in it. The issue is that the spring steel sheet is thin, so it flexes. A rigid aluminum plate held down by magnets should work better. A few others have clipped glass on the bed, but you have to be really careful because there ...

Re: E2 flexible build plate, flexing when installed?

I've definitely seen this issue when printing large dense warpy materials.

Some people have modded to a glass plate for this reason. I'm modding to an aluminum plate.

This would be a great feature for dense supports.

Re: Wipe wall and tower - more control

The main things I'd like to control:

- Flow multiplier control on each extruder for the ENTIRE wipe tower
- Flow multiplier and width control of the first layer of the wipe tower
- Ability to add a brim

Wipe wall and tower - more control

Hi, I would love to have more control over the wipe wall and towers. Specifically, flow rate, extrusion width and first layer controls. This would allow us to fine tune adhesion between dissimilar materials and would make the reliability of the ooze tower way better without having to make it annoyin...

Re: Filament sensor on Raise3d E2

For all I can tell, it's a fairly opaque "natural" cream color. It might be slightly opaque at a material level though.

I think the sensor just isn't calibrated very well for colors like this.

Re: Nylon Spectrum PA6 CF15 & Raise3D Pro2 Plus

I have one of those for storing dry filament but that won't actively pull moisture out if wet filament. You need to use heat. Most people use a food dehydrator or you can throw it in the oven. I have a unit from printdry. I dry it in there and then store and print from my eureka dry box.

Re: Nylon Spectrum PA6 CF15 & Raise3D Pro2 Plus

The surface finish you're getting looks like you need to dry the filament. For engineering materials you always, always need to dry your filament before use, even if they are new and vacuumed sealed. The only brands that I've seen good results out of the box without drying, are ones that are packed ...

Re: Elephant Foot - anything new?

You can add a per layer setting just for the first layer and use the x and y compensation to fix this. This is what I do to eliminate elephant foot.

Re: Soluble support material completely unusable

I print in BVOH very often. Make sure it's really dried out properly. I've had it jammed when it wasn't dry. Always seems to work well for me.

What temp are you printing at?

You might also want to check to see if the extruder gear tension is too high and grinding excessively during retractions.

Different shell number for top solid fill

I'd like to specify a different number of perimeter shells, but only for the top solid fill. I have a vacuum forming mold that needs lots of perimeter shells to stay strong, but the large number of perimeter shells leaves an ugly top surface, especially around vent holes. Ideally, I'd like the top s...
