Re: Printing With One Filament?

If you are using Yellow PLA that might be the problem.

I had an E2 and if I put the RAISE 3D Yellow PLA in it I constantly got the out of filament warnings, swapping sensors over and even fitting new sensors made no differemce.

Re: ASA: Warping on the backside of build space

I'm also using Filamentum ASA extrafil and I really like it, it's now my standard go to filament. Things I've found that helped me are ....... A level bed. Nozzle at 255 C Bed at 94 C Cooling switched off. 20% infill Speed 25-35 mm.........slower often works better. Get bed up to temp and then let t...

Re: Build Plate Not Hot Enough for ABS

I'm using ASA, very similar to ABS but without the smell. I'm using a glass bed. This is what I do, I'm by no means an expert but the following works well for me....... Enclosed printer Level the bed. ( very important ) Preheat the bed and then wait 20-30 minutes before starting a print to get insid...

Re: E2 Hepa Filter Fan

Hepa Filter Control: I would note the HEPA filter is one of the primary reason our engineering shop selected Raise3D, quite disappointing to realize they're not even controlling it like they should. Fair warning; can guarantee the next high quality 3D printer we purchase will be from the first manu...

Re: Filament sensor stopping prints

I'm in the same position here in the US. My supplier is working with me - if i can get issues resolved in the next week I will keep it, but if not they will take it back and i can get something else. Are you looking at other units? I'm considering the BCN3D Sigma or SigMax as alternatives. Cost goe...

Re: Fan control

The HEPA filter fan air flow out of the machine creates a negative pressure within the machine which helps keep the particles near the gap within the machine. REALLY !!!!!!!! So the paticles somehow by magic resist being pulled through the path of least resistnce (the gap) between the filter and th...

Printer sent back

My printer was returned to my supplier, they were able to repeat the fault on my printer and also on one of their E2 printers, however they could not find out what the problem was and contacted Raise3D who also repeated the fault on one of their E2 printers but could not resolve it and handed the pr...

Re: Fan control

The HEPA filter is not only used for material odors but also small particles that can be produced while printing. For this reason, we recommend that it be in use at all times while the machine is printing. Just have to wonder why there is such a big daylight air gap up the side of it in the filter ...

Re: Fault line on prints

Thank you for the update. I see here in our system that you do have a ticket that is currently being worked on. Please continue with the troubleshooting advice of the technician that you are working with. IMHO it is a very poor support system by Raise3D......... To get a support ticket raised I hav...

Re: Fault line on prints

Based on the images that you provided it looks like the parts warped slightly which could be causing the defects that you are seeing. However, it is a little difficult for me to see exactly what is occurring because the photos are a little blurry. Do you notice these defects occurring on smaller pr...

Re: E2 Paused printing

The fact that buyers in other countries only find out that there is no manufacturer support after purchase is a poor business model IMHO. In my present case it goes like this......... Post here about a problem because I am now aware there is no direct manufacturer support, after several days delay j...

Re: What are the acceptable tolerances of the Z-Axis leadscrews?

Sorry for the delay our engineers got back to let us know that they do not have a spec for the tolerance of the lead screws. Instead, the primary check is the functionality of the machine. All machines are tested in the factory and if there is an issue with the fit of the leadscrew in the machine o...

Re: Fault line on prints

This problem started to occur when I made prints using ASA X with the required rise in bed temperature to 100 and letting the chamber stabilise for approx. fifteen minutes before starting to print. The printer is then slightly warm to the touch. The problem usually starts at around 15mm high and gra...

Re: Heat affecting electronics ?

Just some more thoughts specific to the E2. You said this happens with any part orientation, but this is just me guessing, I'm betting the lean is consistent in a specific axis X or Y? Also, only this part, or any part starting at 15mm? Do us and yourself a favor, next time, use a sharpie marker to...

Re: Heat affecting electronics ?

Thanks for the reply. This problem only started after I switched to ASA and a warmed enclosure which made me wonder if it was a result of the mainboard getting warm. When the main arc curve is being printed the distortion tends to go from very little at each end, increasing towards the centre of the...

Heat affecting electronics ?

To print ASA I have the bed temp set at 90 to 100 degrees and let the chamber warm up for 15 minutes or so after the bed temp stabilizes before I start a print. This makes the whole printer slightly warm to the touch. I'm now having problems with vertical surfaces starting to offset as the print get...

Re: Fault line on prints

Changed to LH extruder and tried again but same problem persists.

All prints were stopped after the fault appeared, no point continuing and wasting more filament.

Made a new print model as a test just in case it was something wrong in the original piece. Pics attached
