Re: Fan Speed Ignored

I am going to see if it still does it after slicing the part again. I'm wondering if the G-code is being corrupted when I save it. I have been altering the design and reslicing it, but when I've saved it under the same name I have not deleted the previous file but rather replaced it with the new one...

Re: Fan Speed Ignored

Just looked at the fan speed as the print was on its final two layers and the fan speed was 45 and then went up to 50 as the print was finishing.

Fan Speed Ignored

I've set my fan speed as per attachment, however when the extruder moves to second layer the fan speed goes from 0 to 45 then drops to 21 and stays at 21. This has just started happening and was okay before the current slicing. I'm printing ASA and I'm concerned that the set fan speed is being ignor...

Re: Buy a Raise3D E2

I have printed ABS, Polymaker Copa, Petg. The machine is good, but sooo slow. If you make similar parts over and over again then this printer is good for you. If you are doing single prototyping and need some parts to test out before production then I am not that sure. For Nylon you need Buildtak N...

Re: Buy a Prusa MK3S+ or Raise3D E2?

When I first looked at getting a 3D printer nearly a year ago, and knowing absolutely nothing about 3D printing I bought a Saphire Pro which was in kit form. No problem to assemble but although it would heat up and extrude there was no way I could actually get it to start a print, not even the test ...

Overhangs

If someone could explain the overhang angle it would be appreciated.

Is it measured up from the horizontal or down away from the vertical if this makes any sense ?

You can switch off the bed leveling before each print in the control panel.

Re: problem with filament sensor

Hello, it has happened to us 2 times now that the filament sensor has not interrupted the print, although obviously no more filament is being conveyed. As a precaution, I would like to point out that the sensor was activated ;). Is there a test to test this sensor and if it should be defective to w...

Re: Raise3D E2 - shift in the print head during printing.

Just curious as to which version of Ideamaker you are running ?

I had something similar today after I installed the latest Beta verson, went back to the previous version and printed without a problem.

Texture inside only ?

I am currently using two moulds I printed to make landscape edging stones, basically two jelly moulds.

Is it possible to just apply a texture to the inside surface only ?

Here is the shroud on Thingiverse. We can continue the conversation on the design evolution here, but I want to get the files out there, so many people can improve the designs. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4794506 Thanks very much for designing and sharing this part cooling shroud. I only use ...

Re: E2 Paused printing

Thanks very much for sharing your solution with us, much appreciated. I live in the UK and have the same issue of not being in the USA for direct support, I bought my E2 from 3DGBIRE in the UK and their support is truly impressive but the fact that Raise3D will sell a machine abroad and then basical...

Re: Smart Filament Sensor

Unfortunately, we can't advise on making any types of modifications to the machine. The type of sensor that you are referring to would be very expensive to produce and make reliable enough to the point at which it would detect if the filament was jammed or tangled. This type of sensor would drive t...

Re: Idea maker not importing

Just noticed something strange. When I've exported a file I usually copy it into a folder so that the gcode, data file etc are in the same place. Fusion 360 is exporting the files to the Applications folder and from there it seems to load into Ideamaker alright. If I copy the file onto the desktop a...

Idea maker not importing

I'm using Mac Catalina OS on a new 2020 iMac 27' and Fusion 360 When I click to import or add either an obj. or STL file nothing shows except the green tick mark at the bottom left. If I click and drag a file onto the taskbar icon it opens in Ideamaker OK. What I can't do at all is load two separate...
