Did it actually fit your E2? Do you have a picture?

Re: E2 control button bug

i Think it's related to the printer movements (gcode), when the printer has a full buffer the button is not working, until it's the "buttons turn" in the buffer. I would buy that except that it DOES recognize I pressed the button during this time, but it only turns off the SCREEN, not the...

Re: Bug with Supports / Build Volume Raise3D E2

Hi, there appears to be a bug with build volume on the E2 when supports are enabled - the model fits on the build platform yet everytime I try to slice it I get this message - issue1.PNG The model dimensions are 318.5 x 133.8 x 36 I have tried setting support horizontal expansion to zero and turnin...

E2 control button bug

I have the current firmware installed and ran into another bug. I started a reprint of the last job after a successful print and while it was warming up, I tapped the red button on the side of the screen to turn off the screen and chamber light. Initially, it did nothing at all, so that's a problem....

Interesting, thanks for sharing. ... I was on the way to apply also 30W when I have seen your post, thanks for it. FYI, these were the ones I bought: https://quantum3dprinting.com/shop/genuine-e3d-heater-cartridge-24v-40w-e-heater-24v-40w/ They actually arrived white instead of red, but the part nu...

Copperhead with E3D Replacement 24v/40w heater heating time test

Just posting this for people interested in switching to a Copperhead setup. I have multiple E2 units and have never really been satisfied with the hotend, so I've been switching them over one at a time to Copperheads with E3D heaters and the time from start until they're heated up and ready to go is...

Re: Changing Out Your Buildtak

Has anyone changed out the original Buildtak surface on your E2? I purchased the Buildtak here: ...and still have the plastic red tab (that goes at the front of the print bed), which I can bring over to the new Buildtak sheet. I think Im just curious how one actually removes the original printing s...

Re: Bed Engraving

Your nozzle is too low or your hotend isn't all the way pushed in, so the whole thing is lower than it was. You can adjust for this and use the .3mm card to check the nozzle. Go to the gear icon in the upper right, then more settings -> hardware -> z offset and set both the nozzles to an offset that...

It would be nice if the software remembered your setting from the last time you used it instead of defaulting to too small every time you start it.

Re: Copperhead Heater Cartridge

Been running the copperheads with .4 vanadium hardened nozzles on one of the E2s for the last 5 days and it's a night and day difference compared to the terrible stock heatbreak/hot block. I ordered 4 more sets yesterday so I can upgrade my other two E2s. Highly recommended to do this if you have an...

For the record, here's the parts to put the correct connector on the naked heater block lines you get when you replace the E2 one (that's too small for the Copperhead): Crimp connectors (3 cents, you need 2 per Copperhead): https://www.newark.com/jst-japan-solderless-terminals/sxh-001t-p0-6/contact-...

Re: Get proper harden/steel nozzle for the E2

The copperhead heat break has a significantly higher thermal mass, so the original spec'd 30w heater would yield a slower heatup time at the same duty cycle. Ive been running the E3D 40W, (24v has white wires) and after a PID autotune, it is snappy. I ordered the slice engineering higher wattage on...

Problem's back. Can't upload to any of the printers again. HOWEVER, I think I know what happened this time. When uploading a file, I put "255/260/80" at the end of the file name for the model so I would know the temps for that version. Raise uploaded the file as "80" - it truncat...
